Yamboree Grounds

10.16

It's the Sunday before Yamboree begins so we drove around to see if we could find some of the rides and sure enough we did! The big trucks had already started parking their rides/hot dog stands at the Yamboree grounds. Beck and Kinsey played while we watch a few trucks/rides roll in.

Kinsey loves going down the slide and Beck loves catching her!

He also loves pushing her in the swing...they are both so stinking cute!

It was time to go home...

When we got home, Brent attacked both kids with Beck's new Spider Man gun that we got at the Longview Fair and they loved it!

Dress Up

10.15

After eating dinner Saturday night, Brent took the kids to Kiki and Pop's house so I could take a relaxing shower. Plus, I had lots of laundry that I needed to get done. They both started the evening with a sucker or two. Yep, Beck still wears the boots every where he goes and he puts them on the wrong way most of the time.

Kiki had bought some new costumes so Beck and Kinsey played dress up! Looks like they had a lot of fun!

I love it when Beck tackles Kinsey...sometimes she laughs and enjoys it but most of the time she gets frustrated.

dress up5

This had to be funny...they looked at themselves dressed up in the mirror.
dress up6

I wish I could have seen them dress up because I know it was funny to watch but I sure enjoyed my time alone...so peaceful and so relaxing!

Haircut and Suckers

10.12

Let's take a step back...I got these pictures from Kiki which is why this post is out of date order. After Beck got his hair cut and after we dropped Wendy off, he was dying to show Kiki his new do! When we arrived, she had a pumpkin full of candy for the kids! They hit the jackpot! I can't recall how many suckers they went through during our short visit but it was a lot!

Pumpkin Patch - Part Two

Keep this place in mind for next year because it is awesome!
pumpkin patch4

Kinsey was cracking me up trying to pick up the big pumpkins and she also tried to eat the little one that she held onto until we left.

She enjoyed pushing the wagon around...

Beck would not ride the Ferris wheel but he did ride the helicopter ride two times. BTW, we had to buy tickets for these rides. Admission was $10 each (Kinsey was free) and every thing was free except for the kid rides. I wonder if Kinsey will be big enough to ride next year?

While Beck rode the helicopter, we took pictures with Kinsey "Girl". She gave me the biggest face-plant-kiss!

Today turned out to be very warm so we decided that the airplane ride would be the last one since we ran out of tickets and it was time to eat lunch. Beck was SO, SO sad when we told him that he could not ride the airplane again. I was sad because I wanted more pictures of the kids with the pumpkins. They had so many different "scenes"! Oh well, there's always next year and I hope to remember to get pictures before we play.

Pumpkin Patch - Part One

10.15

Yesterland Farm in Canton, Tx has the best pumpkin patch I've ever seen. It has every thing you could possibly want in a pumpkin patch with many photo opportunities plus more. Not only does this place have rides for the kids but it also has a petting zoo, pig races, pumpkin launcher, corn cannon, kettle popcorn, corn maze, pony rides and more!

Luckily, they have wagons to put the kids in because we forgot to bring the stroller. Beck thought he wanted to go down the race car slide but he got up to the top and stayed up there for a long time. He tried to go down the stairs many times but the kids kept coming up the slide so he was kind of stuck. The operator finally realized what was going on and stopped the kids so Beck could climb down the stairs.

Beck enjoyed the pig races.

The canoe ride was his ultimate favorite! In face, he rode it over and over then he had to be pulled off the ride because he had to potty. He did not want to go to the restroom...he started pulling his pants down right there at the ride!
pumpkin patch5

Kinsey and I did a little exploring while Beck rode the canoe and we saw a tee pee then watched pumpkins being launched into a pond (behind Kinsey). She posed for me and I was able to capture a few cute pictures of her.
pumpkin patch6

We made the mistake of buying kettle popcorn before taking pictures. Be prepared to see popcorn in every picture.

I asked a worker to take a picture of us and I didn't want the popcorn in our family picture...big mistake!

Friday Night Family Fun Night

10.14

Tonight is the second home game for the Buckeyes and they are up against the Carthage Bulldogs.

Beck and Kinsey are really into going to the game. Kiki and Pops went to Dallas so it was a little more work controlling the kids. Beck went to the bathroom three times and Brent thinks he wanted to go so he could run around a little bit. Silly boy!

It's really impressive watching these young boys play...I get the impression that Coach Jeff Traylor has instilled a lot of unity with this team.

Brent talked Beck into going down the stairs to watch the game/half time show from the fence. We were impressed that he actually did it and he liked it!
football14

The half time show is my favorite part of the entire evening and it was enjoyable to watch. The Stars performed a routine using hoops and it was dazzling.

We left after the half time show to get home and put the kids to bed. The Buckeyes won again, barely. The final score was 39-36. We are looking forward to the next home game in two weeks.
