Christmas Eve with the Bishop's

Christmas Eve was spent in Gilmer at Poppy and Kiki's house...they invited over a few family and friends for dinner. It was fun to visit with everybody...Larry, Virginia, The Haws Family, Aunt Karen, Laura and Rachel. However, we did miss Brian, Katherine, Ava and Lola...they were spending time with Katherine's family in Ft. Worth and got to see LOTS of snow.
Jennifer, Noah and Jody - just bought a house in McAllen, TX

Jill and Jeff - Jill is due to have Marcus in February (so exciting!)
Rachel, Aunt Karen and Laura
Rachel is finishing Texas A & M one year early then off to dental school and Laura has her own band in Austin, TX.

Rachel is trying to get some Beck lovin'...
It's a Christmas tradition for all of the grandkids to receive new pj's from Poppy and Kiki. I'll have a group shot of all the grandkids in the next blog.
Afterwards, Beck and Noah had the best time playing in the tub. Actually, they had fun the entire visit!

Christmas with Nana and Wendy

We made the hour long drive to Nana's house in Henderson Christmas Eve morning. Wendy was so excited to spend time with Beck. Mom cooked cornbread, chicken and dumplings for lunch and it was delicious! Mom and Stephen started a remodel project in the living room so we had to do everything (eat, visit and open gifts) from their bedroom. We opened gifts then Beck took a nap. We left around 5:00pm to get to the 6:00pm party that Kathleen was having at her house and big snowflakes were falling as we left Henderson.

Beck loves all of his gifts...thanks Nana and Wendy!!! (We love our gifts too especially my ring!)
Beck got comfy by propping his feet up on the seats for our drive back to Gilmer while holding the stuffed puppy that Nana gave him.

Beck's two favorite things...stuffing food in his mouth and stuffed animals that sing and dance. In this video, you will see Beck stuff a brownie in his mouth and play with the singing/dancing stuffed animals. Jennifer told me that Brent would do the same thing when he was younger.

Beck's Second Christmas

It's our tradition to open gifts before we head to East Texas so on Monday night after work, we ate dinner then opened our gifts.
This year was a lot more fun because Beck was able to rip off the wrapping paper and he said, "Wow" after seeing his gift. It was so cute!

Choir Christmas Program 2009

We put on our holiday clothes for church, listened to the choir sing and heard a few scriptures. I must admit that the church choir are a very talented group of people. We saw a lady play the violin and another lady played the flute. We were also in awe of the solo by Bishop Mark Richmond. He sang O Holy Night and his performance was incredible. It was so special!

Mark and Linda's party for the kids...

Mark and Linda Ronck had a Christmas party for the kids on Friday night. Santa was there and lots of food! Beck ate a lot of cookies that night...I wish I could have captured the look on Madeline's face when we arrived...it was priceless. She loves to give Beck big hugs!Madeline and Beck exchanged gifts and she gave him a bowling set. He loves to knock down the pins with his hands (not the ball). I guess he'll catch on as he gets older.
Beck gave her crayons, coloring book and play dough. His nose started running that day so pool little Beck wasn't in the best spirits that night. We tried to do a group picture with all of the kids, Mark, Linda and Santa but Beck had no part of that!

Krueger Christmas

Every year, we get together with Kathleen's brothers and their family's and do a white elephant gift exchange. This year, there were about 24 of us that played and it was so much fun!

Since I started this blog this year, I'd like to step back in time and reminisce the Krueger Christmas from last year.
Bishop family picture...we missed Jody, Jennifer and Noah (they were in Virginia at the time).

Babies!!!
Uncle Kerry and Uncle Bill holding Haylee and Beck. That was fun so let's take a look at the kiddos this year and notice how much they've all changed. Brian was in Austin making some extra money for the house he and Katherine just bought that needs remodeling...Jody, Jennifer and Noah couldn't make it because they now live in McAllen, TX. We missed you!

Wes and Kath with the grandkids (Lola, Ava and Beck)...
Here are a few of the Krueger family...This is the gun that we ended up getting for Beck (I ended up stealing it!).Beck fell in love with this bear...notice how he's totally chilled out!Haylee and Beck love being outside...it looks like they are dreaming of what they could do in the cold weather. Beck looks like he's eating the window.
