Happy Thanksgiving!

This was the first year in a very long time that we stayed in Dallas and spent a 4-day weekend at home which was SO nice! Jeff and Jill graciously hosted the big feast!

The table was set...

The food was delicious...

I hate that I didn't get a picture of Brian's family nor did I get Wes and Kath. Bummer!
The boys decided to tickle each other...Too funny!!!

Lambert's Cafe

Brent recently saw a show that said Lambert's Cafe is the #1 pig out restaurant in America! We ate there when Beck was a baby and I kept his shirt...it now fits Kinsey (size 6 months). She still loves being on the changing pad and she still chews on her toes/feet.

Kinsey - 5 months old

It's so hard to believe that in one month, Kinsey will be half of one year old! She got a good report from her doctor visit and just like last month, she barely cried when she got both shots. She's a tough cookie just like her mommy. She weighed in at 16 lbs 1 oz (75-90%), height is 27" (+95%) and her head is 16 3/4" (50-75%).

Santa!!!

The Shops of Legacy closed off the streets in order to have a small parade and a stage set up for performers to show off their skills. We saw Frosty the Snowman, a ballerina and a choir sing Christmas carols. What we didn't see on this night was the lighting of the Christmas tree and Santa. I thought we could make a quick trip to see Santa but had no idea that all of this was going on and we went right at dinner time. The tree was supposed to be lit up at 7pm and Beck was ready to go at 6pm so needless to say we had to bolt.
I'm on a mission to find a tree like this one for Kinsey's room...

The next weekend, we made it back to this location and had pictures made with Santa. Both kids did great except we could not get either one of them to smile.
This Christmas tree is in another shopping center...

Happy Birthday Addison!!!

We celebrated Addison's 1-year old birthday this past Saturday and she did not feel well at all. Poor thing had a runny nose, didn't want to nap or eat but she was a trooper and hung in there while all of the guests were at her house.
My good friend Natalie put A LOT of work into this party! I am so impressed with her skillz and love all of the decorations for Addy's Sweet Shoppe party. She said it took her a couple of nights to make the gum ball wreath that was hanging on the front door and I have no idea how much time it took her to make all of the other decorations. Wow, Addison is one lucky girl!!! Natalie had a short table set up for the older kids to make foam Santa and snowman and fruit loop necklaces. Beck enjoyed the really BIG sucker and the delicious cake made by Natalie's sweet and talented sister.

Addison's birthday outfit was super cute and I think Kinsey looked super cute too (thanks to Aunt Gee for the outfit!)!!! Not sure how she did it but Kinsey managed to sleep thru all of the kids screaming and the loud music.

Jammies

Beck is obsessed with his "jammies"! He wants to wear them all of the time and sometimes wants to change into new jammy pants during the day. After we get him dressed to go somewhere, he immediately pulls out the "jammies" he wants to wear when we get back home! The other night, I talked him into putting on these "jammies" and surprisingly he did...I just wanted to see if they would still fit...we got a good laugh seeing him wear these "jammies".

Kinsey Gurl

When I take a shower, I put Kinsey in her bouncy chair (Thank you Karen Bishop for this much used chair!) because she loves hearing the water run and I get the bathroom so steamy that you can cut it with a knife! (I have no proof that she loves these things...this is just my opinion.) As I was taking a shower, I peeked out to check on Kinsey and she was kicking her long legs so hard that she was just about to fall out of her chair! After pulling her long body back up in the chair, she went to town on her feet! She really loves to chew on her toes and I enjoy watching her do it.

Beck went to nursery while Brent and I went to Sunday school class and the lady in his room asked what is his sister's name. He quickly responded, "KinseyGurl" (all one word) and she didn't understand what he was saying so she asked us her name when we got him. I told her that her name is Kinsey and she told us how she couldn't understand what Beck had said. I knew what had happened and explained to her that he calls her Kinsey Girl but it sounds like one word and she laughed and said that is exactly what he said. We crack up hearing him call her by this name! He is a trip!

Ice Palace

We took the kids to Willow Bend mall last night to see the Narnia themed Ice Palace...it's not that big of a deal but it was nice to get out of the house since I'm here all day. There's one tiny area where fake snow is falling and Beck had a blast throwing snow up in the air and on us! I had so much fake snow on my clothes and in my hair!!! The things we do for our kids...We love you Beck Lee!
