Trunk or Treat

On October 30th, our church as well as Jeff and Jill's church had their annual Trunk or Treat. Brent is on the activities committee and had to help roll up 400 hot dogs. He thought there was no way that all of those hot dogs would be eaten but 40 minutes after it started, they were all gone!

I got the kids ready and Kinsey was easy to get dressed...Beck, on the other hand, did not want to wear his dragon costume. It took some serious begging/pleading to get that costume on him!!! Luckily, the weather was perfect...the kids would have burned up if it had been warm. Beck was more comfortable in his costume once he saw the other kids dressed up and he got the hang of saying, "Trick or Treat" and he also said, "Thank you! Happy Halloween!".

We saw some really cool costumes and some decked out trunks. Jeff and Jill came to our church and said they had a bounce house and games so we quickly loaded up and headed to their church. Beck waited patiently to get in the jump house and boy did he have fun jumping. Then, he played the cake walk game and won on the first try! He got a cupcake which I ate. Then, he played a game where you had to throw a plastic ball into a cup of water and he did that on the first try as well! He was so proud of himself that he immediately jumped up and down and clapped for himself...so did we! It was pretty impressive seeing him do that especially since we watched many kids miss it several times.
In hind sight, I should have dressed him up as a pirate since he loves saying, "Arrr Matties". Maybe next year, we can have more fun with his costume.
We went to Jeff and Jill's house when it got dark and Beck had fun playing with Marcus. Good times and great memories!!!
