Happy Labor Day!

We spent the morning of Labor Day at the Tyler Zoo and did what most parents do when they arrive...went straight to the petting area. Can you see the excitement in Beck's face? He and Kinsey loved it!

Not only was petting the goats fun but Beck also loves to see the back-end of the goat...waiting for something to come out.

I love the hand washing area located right outside of the petting area!

We saw lots of animals but I have to admit the exhibit I least like is where the elephants are located. They have so little space to roam! It makes me sad.

We went into this air-conditioned room that had very small creatures such as large roaches, a lizard, turtle shell and deer antlers. Kinsey didn't mind us putting the turtle shell on her but cried hard afterwards when she fell and hit her face on the rough commercial carpet. After some loving from mommy, she wanted to play with the antlers with Beck.

I love this sign explaining what a pond is...

Cute moment...Beck saying, "There's Rudolph!"

Our second favorite moment at the zoo...two young bears play-fighting! I'm pretty sure this exhibit is new because I've never seen bears there before.

The moment that ended our fun...Beck touching the cactus! Brent and I had to pick out many, many cactus needles while Beck was crying, "get it out, get it out!" Not fun!

This zoo is actually the perfect size for our little ones and I'm sure we'll end up getting a family membership when we move. Right now, we are enjoying paying half price since we are members of the Dallas zoo. The weather was really nice too!
