Halloween Adventure

10.26

I'm always keeping my eye open for fun things to do which sometimes works out and sometimes it's a bust. (BTW, Brent loves my big adventures! Not really.) I saw in the local newspaper that a church was having a Halloween Festival and thought it would be fun for us to check out.

We didn't know anybody which made Brent really nervous but it turned out to be a lot of fun and we got some good Trunk or Treat ideas. The first thing we did was hop on Thomas the Train.

Each kid picked a rubber duck and the number on the bottom of the duck indicated how many pieces of candy he could get.

This is really cute...a hay bale with lots of pencils!!! The kid keeps the pencil he picks and the color of the eraser indicates the number of candy he gets.

Easy and simple...throw washers into large cans.

Of course this was my favorite...cookie decorating table!!! Beck did a great job decorating his cookie and he was so proud of it. The cookie was placed in a zip lock bag along with a laminated pumpkin cut out. This was typed on the pumpkin, "Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in and washes all the dirt off you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then, He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all to see."

Kinsey enjoyed Beck's candy!

This is cute but a little dangerous. In fact, Beck did pop a balloon but the way he threw the dart scared me to death!!!

Beck loved this...
