Brent helped build this new city park for Bullard on Thursday and Friday then helped build a swing set for Marcus on Saturday so he was a tad bit sore this morning. The city raised over $200K to build this park, WRL donated most of their employees to build it in one week and many businesses made contributions such as food for the volunteers. Two church leaders blessed the park and the Mayor opened it up to all of the kids this beautiful Sunday afternoon.
David (Brent's boss) said they interviewed many kids to get a perspective as to what they would like and from what we've seen today, there are many cool things here. A rocket ship, lots of ladders, a train, wooden drum, a xylophone and much, much more.
I know two little kids by the name of Beck and Kinsey that will spend many hours at this park.
We had a great time today and look forward to coming back!
Of course we had to check out our lot that is prepped and ready for the slab to be poured. So excited!!!
