Pre-Yamboree

10.14-16.12

The annual Yamboree is right around the corner and you can feel it in the air.  Kids are anxious to get out of school early on Wednesday and the rides are sitting at the Yamboree grounds ready to be assembled. We know this because we drove out there to show Beck and Kinsey all of the rides they will see very soon on this lovely Sunday afternoon.  Then, we visited Nanny and she is doing great.  She enjoyed seeing Kinsey wearing Beck's cowboy boots.  I'm telling you this girl is a hoot!

This is our first Monday morning dance class and I was a little nervous since Kinsey will not recognize any of the girls plus a new teacher (Ms. Staci) but she did a great job and caught on quickly.

All of the kids in Beck's class decorated a yam to look like an animal and Beck picked a pig which turned out pretty cute thanks to Daddy!  Beck's class is entering Noah's Ark for the Yam Decorating Contest.  Peyton (Beck's soccer buddy) also decorated a yam to look like a pig and I think all of the kids did a fantastic job.  It would be very exciting if they win!

After I dropped Beck off at school, Kinsey and I drove to Aunt Vickie's house and picked her and Aunt Wendy up to go visit Uncle Dennis.  He recently had surgery on one leg and is at home recovering after spending five days in the hospital.  Unfortunately, he will need the same surgery on his other leg but the good news is that he quit smoking after 40 years.  It was nice to catch up and I'd like to visit with my aunts and uncles more often especially since I'm right here near them.

The carnies are in full swing tonight putting together the rides for all to enjoy tomorrow evening.  It was fun walking around the square letting the kids get a good look at what Yamboree is all about.
