Day Four of My Vacation with Beck

On Thursday, I took Beck to the Schimelpfenig Library for Rhyme Time. The room was filled with moms and little kids (ages 0-24 months). All of the little kids sat near their mom except for Beck. He wanted to do his own thing but he eventually crawled into my lap just in time for the "Head and Shoulders" song. This was only a 30 minute event and Beck was ready to go once we had been there for 30 minutes even though the lady was still doing her thing. Here are a few other songs that we sang...
  • If You're Happy and You Know It
  • Row, Row, Row Your Boat
  • The Friendly Little Spider (same as Itsy Bitsy Spider)
  • Ring Around the Rosie
  • Pat-a-Cake
  • Jack Be Nimble
  • Fishes in the Water
  • Acka Backa
That evening, we took Beck to the park and he chased the bubbles that daddy was producing. Beck worked up a sweat and ended up with a very dirty face! The weather is so hot and I'm so grateful that Kinsey is coming very soon!

  1. How fun! That's good you took some time off beforehand to be with Beck. How long are you off on maternity leave?

  2. Delila & I used to do rhyme time at Schimelpfenig - we loved it! The lady that runs that program has the patience of the saints. (If it was the same one we had.)

It's nice you're spending some time with Beck before Kinsey makes her debut. I remember being kinda sad right before Delila was born that my Just Jake & Mommy days were coming to a close. They were really special days.
