We took a field trip to the Discovery Science Place today. I don't know who was more excited...me or the kids! As soon as we walked in the door, Beck checked out the toys, gadgets, stuffed animals, etc. and found the one thing that he wanted...a stuffed animal that just happens to be a snake. I told him we would get it on the way out. As we entered the first room, without me knowing, Beck took off his shoes and ran in the dinosaurs cave. After we had been there for at least two or three minutes, I noticed he didn't have his shoes so I asked him where they were and he kept pointing toward the door. I guess he thought he was in somebody's home because he made himself comfy! Luckily, his shoes were still there.
This place was filled with all kinds of neat things for kids to do!
This was probably my favorite room...a pretend tv station! Beck and Noah had a blast putting food together, putting it in the oven and then serving it. Noah really liked using the video camera and they all liked the control room. Can you see me on the tv screen?
Beck and Noah also loved the dinosaurs cave. They ran in that many, many times! And, Kinsey was cracking me up because she would let out this deep, "Roar" every time we walked in it!
We finally ventured to the other two rooms and Beck was practically in tears begging me to buy the snake. Can you see it in the picture below? The other rooms had little pretend places such as a grocery store, a restaurant and a real ambulance which they all loved! They also enjoyed the wind tunnel.
Before we left, Kiki bought the boys a few gifts...sour powdered sugar and Beck got another stuffed animal..triceratops which he named, Spike! I must say that Kinsey was a trooper because she did not nap on the way there and she was a good girl the entire time we were there. Needless to say, she crashed as soon as we started driving and then Beck crashed right before we got to Gilmer. After dropping off Kiki and Noah, I drove around to let Beck get some more zzz's. Beck had a really busy day...he went to Heather's for Joy School in the morning and then we spent all afternoon at the Science Place. It was so much fun! I would recommend going here and hopefully, we can go back soon with Daddy.
After we all ate dinner, Kiki and Noah came over to play with Beck's toys. (Beck was dying for Noah to come to "his" house and play with his toys.) At one point, they dressed up in Beck's Transformers costumes/masks.
The next day, Kinsey woke up with fever so Kiki picked up Beck and he stayed over there all day and came home around bed time. He had SO much fun!!! They dressed up in the costumes that Kiki bought at the Science Place...I love it!
