Safe Summer Expo

05.25.13

The kid's club at the mall is offering a Safe Summer Expo from 10am-3pm so we are going to check it out since Daddy is working on the house.  There was a bounce house, a baseball organization promoting games at their field in Kilgore with a pitching area to let the kids know how fast they can throw the baseball and Red Cross was there handing out flyers on what we should have on-hand in case of a disaster such as a tornado.  Beck and Kinsey absolutely loved going from the bounce house to throwing baseballs!

Then, we ate lunch and played at the video arcade.  It takes 50 tickets to get a tiny little plastic toy that Beck loves and it takes him forever to pick one out.  So many choices!

After we left the mall, we stopped at a gas station to potty and get drinks.  Beck and Kinsey can drink all day long.  Right across the street is a toy store which Beck spotted as we were loading up in the car.  I had always wanted to go inside so we went in to check it out.  This store has the coolest toys!!!  Kinsey found a really cute stroller for a doll and loaded it up with all of the toys that she wanted.  Beck looked all over the store and did not want anything else except for this stuffed cat so that's what he bought with his birthday money from Aunt Vickie.  I showed him all kinds of cool toys that he could buy but he insisted on getting the cat since he can't have a real cat which tugged at my heart.  He wants a pet so bad but we can't get one until we get into our house and now we know for sure that we cannot have a cat.

Both kids crashed on the way to Bullard...completely worn out.

I really enjoy looking at our house each week to see what's been done.  We just need one more set of shutters on the blank wall on the left side of the house.

Memorial Weekend 15
Stairs are up which means we don't have to worry about the kids falling but the posts need stain.

Memorial Weekend 16
Granite has been installed in the guest bathroom...love it!!!

Memorial Weekend 18
We spent the evening at Kiki and Pops house while they were out of town and took the kids for a ride in the golf cart.

We are looking forward to spending the day with Daddy tomorrow!!!
