Friday Family Day

03.22.13

The bike-a-thon at Beck's school begins at 11am and we can't wait to see him go!
Friday Family Fun Day

Beck's class, aka the Rabbits, will soon walk in here and jump on their bike, trike or scooter.  The primary colored trike in the middle with the dino looking helmet in the seat is Beck's ride today.

Beck has been learning about transportation this week and I love that his school is doing this fun activity for the kids.  They also emphasized the importance of wearing a helmet so we had go shopping for a new helmet and Kinsey and I love what he picked out.

Guess who's coming home with us after his ride?

The director of the school asked us to keep up with how many laps our kids go around the square that was set up in the gym.  I'm proud of my little Beck for making 29 laps especially on that little trike!!!

I love our time together during Kinsey's nap time!

Friday Family Fun Day11
After we took Aunt Wendy home, we stopped by Neena's for a short visit.  Beck and Kinsey love playing with Bella!

Beck rubbed his right eye the entire ride from Neena's house to Pappacita's where we met Daddy for dinner.  I looked at his eye before we got out of the car and noticed that it looked weird so I asked Brent to look at it.  The swelling had just started so it wasn't as noticeable until after our food arrived.  We quickly left the restaurant and headed to the care clinic.  The girl at the front desk immediately brought the nurse practitioner on duty to the front window.  The really scary part was that she didn't say anything as she was looking at Beck's swollen eyeball.  She told us that she might treat it with steroids but after they called us back to a room, she came in and said she consulted with the doctor and advised us to either go to the emergency room or wait and see if the swelling goes down.  I'm pretty sure they did not want to be held liable for misdiagnosing him.  Anyway, we drove down the street to get some benedryl and a toy.

We took Daddy back to his truck that we left at the restaurant and there's an ice cream place in that shopping center.  Beck asked for some and I think I would have given him anything at this point because I felt so sorry for him.
Friday Family Fun Day13
This has to be the most frightening Friday Family Day that we've ever had but luckily, the swelling went down after getting some medicine in him.  Apparently, Beck has really bad allergies so now we know what to do the next time this happens.  I just wonder if it's the massive amount of pollen that's on everything outside or is he allergic to cats?  Hummm, I really hope it's not the latter.

A big thanks to Kiki and Pops for watching Beck peddle, peddle, peddle!  And, I'm so glad that Aunt Wendy was there to see her nephew ride as hard as he could.  By the way, these kids rode for almost 30 minutes.  That's a lot especially since Beck was spinning those wheels as fast as he could.  I wonder if he'll be a little sore tomorrow from working his legs so hard.  We shall see.
