See How They Run

The city of Plano offers a wide variety of classes for all ages...from preschoolers all the way up to senior citizens. The Leisure catalogue is sent out about four times per year and last time we signed Beck up for the Tumble Tykes class but this time I thought this class sounded fun. The class is called See How They Run and the description said, "beanbags + balls + music = fun!"

Since Wendy was here, she stayed at the house with Kinsey since this class is during Kinsey's morning nap which means Brent and I got to see Beck in action.

The class started with Mrs. Linda singing a few kids tunes and she added lots of theatrics with her voice and her body. She did a great job of keeping the kids attention plus she keeps them involved.

Then, they got a few minutes of play time and that's when she busted out many balls of all sizes. Beck enjoyed throwing the balls in the basketball hoop. He also got in the castle and we overheard him tell a kid, "this is my castle!" He loved getting on the rocking boat and the rocking car.

After releasing some energy, the kids helped clean up then Mrs. Linda pulled out a large parachute circle and put stuffed bears on it. Each kid held the parachute and popped the bears up then the parents held the parachute while the kids got under the parachute...this is Beck's favorite part. The kids also got to sit on the parachute while the parents walked in a circle making the kids go around.

I have to give kudos to Brent for being the only dad at the class! He told me that he would be willing to bet that more dads would be at the next class and he was right! I took Beck to this class the following Saturday and there were 3 dads there! Brent stayed at the house to prep our living room with caulk before the big paint job while Kinsey napped.
