Happy Thanksgiving (part one)

11.28.13

Tues and Wed Thanks Week15
What's the best way to keep the kids entertained while the adults get ready?  Give them a bowl full of stickers, a box of crayons and a lot of paper.  They love making their own creations!

We are eating lunch at Aunt Karen's this year and she really does have the perfect set-up by having two dining tables, a buffet area for all of the delicious food and another serving area for all of the desserts. (That's my favorite part of the meal!)

Laura wanted to carve the turkey this year and Doug assisted.

Rachel's dog was a big attraction for the kids!

There's a very popular song out right now from the movie Despicable Me that best describes our family get-together called Happy by Pharrell.  Obviously, the main lyric is, "Happy" and then he says, "Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth."  Do we look Happy?

Can you see the pink pig Kinsey is holding?  That's the last time we saw Miss Pinky.

Bon Appetite!  I love seeing the kids eating their Thanksgiving meal in the formal dining room and the adults ate in various places such as the breakfast table, at the kitchen counter or in the living room.

Pops stayed at home today to get more rest and this is our first holiday without Nanny.  I missed watching her observe our conversations and she especially enjoyed watching the kids play.  We love and miss you Nanny!
