Science Experiment

01.13

Heather has decided that she is going to the park in Spring Hill every Friday morning to do some sort of science experiment with her girls and extended the invitation to me, Amy and Trish. On this particular morning, it was 40 degrees when we got to the park and it wasn't going to warm up. I was really hoping that she would have cancelled but Brent keeps telling me that it's not too cold for the kids to be outside. It's definitely cold for mommy! Anyway, she brought a clear container full of water and some items for the kids to drop in the water to see if it will sink or float. They each put an item in the water and found it fascinating to watch each item. It was cute hearing them talk about what was happening.

As cold as it was, Kinsey stuck her hand in the water, pulled out a toothbrush and started chewing on it!

Then, Heather showed them how to mix up a few ingredients to make a bubble solution. She brought wands to dip in the bubble solution but Beck enjoyed playing with it like it was a sword so not many bubbles were blown today.

Beck is wearing mismatched gloves because that's all I could find and poor Kinsey is wearing my gloves that are too big because I couldn't find hers but they did the job of keeping her hands warm for about five minutes.

And, I layered up their clothes so they would stay warm.

I like how Kinsey wants to climb over the bar just like her big brother...

It turned out to be a lot of fun for us today but oh-so-cold! Poor Kinsey ended up not keeping the gloves on her hands so her hands felt like frozen popsicles! And, they were so red! I can't wait to see the science experiment they do next week!
