Orange Beach Bound

09.03.12

After driving for several hours, we stopped for lunch at a restaurant next to the USS Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.  The kids were so excited to get out of the truck and mommy was too!  Before we toured the 680 foot-long ship, we saw some tanks and planes.  I especially liked the plane named Dragon Wagon and the one that has a sharks mouth.

I wish I had kept count of how many stairs we went up and down today.

I think the kids are too young to appreciate everything we saw in this ship but it really is incredible to see.  I highly recommend it!

There's also an aircraft pavilion filled with planes and helicopters.

Then, we quickly walked through the USS DRUM which is a submarine so you can imagine how small the space was inside.  So tiny!

At this point, the kids were D.O.N.E.  Beck was begging us for a drink then he told us that he couldn't walk anymore.  We did walk a lot but it was good for them since we had been driving all morning.  After we left, they quickly went to sleep and they woke up when we arrived at our condo!!!  I can't wait to unpack and hit the beach!!!
