Birthday Dinner

After Brent got home from work, we asked Beck what he wanted to eat for dinner and he said, "Happy Milk" which means Happy Meal so off to McDonald's we went!

Kinsey ate her first french fry tonight...she liked them!

Beck is wearing his favorite John Deere socks and Kinsey is wearing her cute shoes that Aunt Katherine gave us...

Beck loves eating food from McDonald's but we think a few older kids scared him when he was in the tunnel so he doesn't play anymore.

After dinner, we came home and started working on getting the house ready for Beck's Big Birthday Bash tomorrow. Since we have a pool in the backyard, we had to put up a safety fence in the front yard so the parents wouldn't have to worry about the kids running in the street. This meant Brent had to put up several posts and attach the safety fence to them. Beck loves to help so here he is rolling out the fence...

Kinsey is always chillin' and she did a pretty good job hanging out in the walker while we worked. As you can see, she is sucking her thumb but she doesn't do that all of the time. I only catch her doing that occasionally.

Beck had to help hammer too...

Then, he got the bright idea to wrap his arm in the string that Brent was going to use to tie up the fence but it didn't work and it certainly didn't feel good on Beck's arm either...we could not believe he had wrapped his arm so tight!

Birthday Party at Bishop Playhouse

On Friday, April 8th, we celebrated Beck's birthday with Kinsey and Casey. It was a small party but we had fun eating the yummy chocolate chip cookies I baked while they took their afternoon nap.

Here's the funny story...Beck and I made the hats for Kinsey and Casey. We made them while they took their morning nap. Beck enjoyed gluing the balls on each triangle and I told him we needed to let them dry. We played outside until the babies woke up then ate lunch. After we all ate lunch, I went to the bathroom and when I returned, I found Casey in the living room eating the balls off of his hat and Kinsey in the kitchen doing the same thing! I about had a heart attack!!! I quickly stuck my finger in their mouths to get the balls out before they swallowed them. Luckily, the situation was under control before Melissa returned with a birthday gift for Beck which was super sweet!

Beck loved wearing his hat but not Casey and Kinsey just wanted to eat hers! And, Beck sure enjoyed eating two chocolate chip cookies!

The weather was really nice so I loaded up the kids in the strollers and took them for a walk. Beck loves riding in the single stroller but it's really hard for me to push him in it so this may be the last ride in this stroller.

Check out Kinsey's chunky legs...I love it!

After Casey left Bishop Playhouse, I took Beck and Kinsey for a walk in the double stroller until Brent came home.

Baby Shower for Jennifer

My long-time friend, Jennifer Carmichael is having her first baby and she's having a girl! I'm so happy for her and her husband! I played softball with Jennifer about 15 years ago and we were the worst team on the league! We never got together to practice and half the time nobody knew what position to play but it was fun getting together and spending the evening outside. We laugh about it now and we didn't care that we never won a game. Jennifer has two identical sisters and it was always hard for me to tell who was who as you can see in the picture below...

Cyndi and Jill (Jennifer's sisters) threw an awesome baby shower...the cake was way too cute to eat...the food was divine, especially the truffles that I later found out was purchased at Costco...the best truffles I've tasted and I've tasted many truffles since I use to work for a french company. I'm too embarrassed to say how many of these things I ate!

Jennifer told me that she's gained 12 lbs which is crazy...she doesn't even look preggers!

She got some great gifts and we played several games...

The gifts for the guests were awesome!!! I won the baby food game since I was the only one with the youngest baby and I'm quite aware of the flavors being offered today. My prize was a Fossil wallet! How cool is that! And, my guest gift was 12 personalized note cards (including envelopes) which I absolutely love and a Fossil necklace!

It was great seeing some old friends that I haven't seen in years and I do hope we see each other more often.

Friday Night Family Fun Night

It's the weekend before Beck's big birthday party, so we spent the evening shopping at Party City and US Toy for birthday hats, party favor gifts, ordering balloons and a Thomas the Train costume. Today is also April Fool's day but no jokes were played on us today.

Since we were out shopping, I didn't take any pictures. These pictures were taken the next evening as we enjoyed the weather and played in the pool...sort of...the water is way too cold to get in it!

Surprisingly, Beck took off his socks which is shocking considering he never goes a second without wearing socks. Kinsey also stuck her feet in the water, thanks to Daddy, and she loved sticking her hands in the water and splashing. I'm pretty sure she's going to be my little dare devil.

I can't remember what the kids were looking at...maybe a bird?

I can't wait until we can play in the pool with Beck and Kinsey!!!

Caroline's Birthday Party

On Saturday, March 26th, we spent the afternoon at Chelsea's mom's house celebrating Caroline's 2nd birthday. It took us about an hour to get to her house and it was so calm and peaceful out there.

Beck had an absolute blast playing with all of the kids! In fact, it was a very hot day and he was unable to keep the sunscreen on because he was sweating so much. His face was a little pink the next day.

The food was so yummy, the cake was super cute and the bounce house was a lot of fun! It was a great birthday party!
