We spent Friday night getting ready for Jeff's party so we were ready to do something fun tonight! I took the kids to this park in Frisco a while back when Brent was painting our living room and thought this was the perfect place to visit again so Brent can see it.
We packed a few snacks/drinks and it was a really nice evening. Kinsey enjoyed playing on the stroller while Beck played on the wooden play area.
This play area is a lot like the one that was near Aunt Gee Gee's house in McAllen when we visited them pre-Kinsey. There's also a water play area and we tried to get Beck to get wet but all he wanted to do is watch the other kids play.
Behind this eating area is a huge pond where you can fish and a memorial dedicated to the military veterens. This huge marble ball was spinning by the pressure of water and Brent was able to rotate it which was really cool.
We all had a great time and can't wait to go back again!

Jeff's Birthday Celebration
We kicked off our Memorial weekend celebrating Jeff's birthday at our house on Saturday. Pops and Kiki surprised him and they brought a special cake for him! Beck fell in love with the cake decorations!!!
I was ready to give Kinsey lunch then hop in the pool!
I love the floatation swimsuit Marcus is wearing!
This may look familiar...this is exactly what Beck did last year...play around the pool.
However, Beck is much more willing to play in the pool this year! Yippee!!! The kids had an absolute blast playing in the pool!
And, Kiki got in on the action and tried to get some sun on her legs before the big Fake Florida trip!
I think Brent had the most fun playing with the kids in the water.
I love how Kinsey is chillin' on the boat house but she's actually laying on my arm!
Then we busted out the bouncer which is perfect for all of the kids to play on!
It was a fun day in the sun!!!

Bishop Playhouse Update
Kinsey is really on the move these days...she climbs up on her rocking giraffe and holds on to the handles as if she's riding a horse like a jockey! (Every time I whip out the camera to capture her doing this, she quickly gets down.) She also puts herself on the little car that converts to a walker.
On this particular day, I watched her in action...she pulled the diaper changing pad off the shelf and used one of Beck's big trucks as a stepping stool then climbed up on the shelf. She was so proud of herself that she kept smiling and laughing. Kinsey had a blast cleaning off the shelf!!! She is a mess!

Sundae on Sunday
Our church hosted an event called "Sundae on Sunday" and we thought this sounded fun. We discovered that this is held two times per year and it's an ice breaker for the new people. Everybody wore a name tag and the new people had to tell a little bit about themselves. Round tables were set up with clear plastic cups and a water pitcher. The rectangle tables off to the side of the room were set up with all of the fixing's for the perfect sundae...bananas, whipped cream, M&M's, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, blueberries, cherries and chopped nuts.
Once everybody sat at one table for a few minutes, we were told to rotate to another table so everybody had a chance to visit. Since we had two kids, it was much easier for us to stay at our table. Plus, Beck had a science experiment going on with his water cup. He first filled it with water and tried to drink it with a spoon. Then, he got the bright idea to put one M&M in it and noticed the water turned orange. That's when it got crazy...he filled the cup with more M&M's, chopped Oreo cookies and other toppings he stole from Daddy's sundae and tasted it. He was cracking everybody up saying it tasted like chocolate. (Everything tastes like chocolate these days; even his bath water and he doesn't like chocolate!) Towards the end, he did say it was yucky.
Kinsey enjoyed eating puffs and bananas covered with whipped cream...yummy!
Beck has never been interested in ice cream until tonight. As we were helping put up the tables, Beck expressed interested in eating ice cream so we got him a small cone with vanilla ice cream. He licked it and liked it!!! We were shocked! Since it was time to go, he had to eat his ice cream in the car and luckily we only live five minutes from the church. What a fun family night!

Kinsey 11 Months Old
We only have one more month and little Miss Kinsey will be one year old!!! This is when most mom's plan an elaborate birthday party for the baby's first birthday party but that's not how we roll. We had a very small, intimate party for Beck at Pops and Kiki's house when he turned one so we are going to do the same for Kinsey. The best part about Kinsey's birthday is that the pool will be perfect which means...pool party!!! We will spend our first day in Orange Beach when she turns one so we'll have her party at a later date.
No doctor visit this month so we'll have to wait until she turns one to get updated stats but I can assure you that this little girl is on track to be tall and she's definitely not underweight. She's a crawling machine and loves to climb on things.

Olive Garden
Neena and Stephen gave us a gift card to Olive Garden for our 6-year anniversary and we used it tonight...the food was fabulous!!! I was especially happy to eat at a non-fast food restaurant. Thank you Neena and Stephen for the oh-so yummy meal! Kinsey wore the bow that Aunt Jill made and it matched her outfit perfectly!
Beck enjoyed playing with the salad tongs...
I cracked up when I saw Brent put as many breadsticks as he possibly could in our left-over box! He's a trip!
The kids wanted to play on the swing set when we got home and we were shocked to see Kinsey climb up the slide! That girl has NO fear!!!
Beck busted out his new water gun but luckily for us it doen't work all that well.
Kinsey had fun on the swing with Daddy then she rode the tweeter totter.
