We took the kids to the mall to play since it had rained that day. Little did we know that little Miss Kinsey was a monkey! I let her crawl around and all she wanted to do is climb everything! The first thing she climbed was a slide on the front of a train and Beck was at the top encouraging her to keep going. I was very nervous taking pictures of her because I was afraid she would fall and I wouldn't be able to catch her but she never did fall.
They both had so much fun!
A little girl approached the couple next to us and told them her mommy was working and that alarmed all of us! We watched her for about 30 minutes and nobody was watching her! Brent wanted to talk to security and I wanted to call CPS. That little girl has been left there before because she knew what to do...she made friends with girls that would play with her and she never left the play area! Brent finally talked to the lady in the kiosk next to the play area and she called security. When the security guy showed up, I saw a male walk in the play area holding a little sack from the cookie store and the little girl talked to him. I told Brent it was too late that somebody was there to watch her now. The security guy talked to the man and everything checked out. Then, the security guy talked to us and told Brent that he was very familiar with the little girls mom which tells us that we are not the first people to report that little girl being alone in the play area. It broke my heart to see that litte girl fend for herself. I can't imagine leaving my child alone in a mall. You can bet that I gave both of my kids a big hug that night.

Baby Shower for Otto
On Thursday, May 5 (our 6-year anniversary), Brent watched the kids while I attended Katherine's baby shower. The cake was super cute as well as the decorations. The food was delicious and the punch was fantastic! (I made the punch with oj, ginger ale and orange sherbet.)
Katherine got some really cute gifts including a quilt made by Jill's loving hands and I made a photo frame.
It was a nice evening!

Jumping at Bishop Playhouse
I busted out the bouncer to help the kids burn off some energy and this was Kinsey's first time to get on it and she LOVED it! The girl has no fear and she was all over it! I was cracking up watching her roll around while Beck and Marcus jumped around. This was also Casey's first time to get on it and he liked it but not as much as Kinsey.
On this same day, Kinsey wanted to feed herself but I think she mainly wanted to chew on the spoon to help relieve some teething pain.

Happy 30th Birthday Jill!!!
On Tuesday, May 3rd, we surprised Jill at Maggiano's...we got there close to 7pm and we left the restaurant at almost 9pm. This is not the place to take little kids! Brian and Katherine were smart to get a baby-sitter.
Jill was very surprised to see all of us sitting at the table when she walked in the restaurant. The food was fantastic and the cupcakes from a bakery in the Willow Bend mall were delicious! In fact, Kinsey almost ate a whole cupcake! This was her first time to have one and she got a good one...Oreo cookie! Yummy!

TinkerToy Construction Set
We've had a cylinder container of Tinker Toys in our garage for several years and I wanted to hold on to them thinking that our child would want to play with them and that day has come. Beck loves to play with the Tinker Toys!!! He and Brent built a giant monster...
Then, they built a car/plane...
Kinsey enjoyed eating the parts! (BTW, we hid the really small parts.)

Blueberry Muffin
Little Miss Kinsey is a very picky eater...imagine that! She has been a diva since she was born...wouldn't take a pacifier, wouldn't take a bottle, she won't eat homemade baby food but she will eat the nasty baby food out of a jar and she loves to try and drink out of Beck's sippy cups but won't drink out of hers! She is a mess! I baked blueberry muffins and she seems to really like them...Yeah!
Goggles
One day at Bishop Playhouse, Beck put on his safety goggles and he looks so cute wearing them! His imagination is very vivid these days and on this day, he was pretending to be a superhero by shooting the monsters in our house...mainly in Kinsey's room.
Miss Kinsey just loves to smile!

Easter at Home
After we came home from East Texas, we told Beck the Easter bunny had been at our house too. He was excited to see his basket filled with goodies! The Easter bunny got so much stuff that Beck not only had a basket but also a gift bag filled with a kite, a snake that grows in water and lots of Geo Trax!!!
The Easter bunny is going to visit both kids next year...Kinsey enjoyed trying to break into Beck's cotton candy!

Easter Sunday
We went to church with Pops and Kiki Easter Sunday morning then I was able to capture some really cute pictures of the kids while they had on their Easter outfits. I've also discovered that photography is a very expensive hobby. The pictures you see below were taken with a very nice camera lens that Kiki got for Christmas and I fell in love with it. Luckily, I can borrow it when we are in Gilmer.
