My handsome pew buddy has no idea what's in store for today.

Tyler State Park Mem Day 2014
I'm taking the kids to Tyler State Park which opened in 1939 (75 years old) and includes 985 acres of land and a 64 acre lake.  Brent's allergies are killing him so he's going to stay home today.

My friends are camping here for Memorial weekend and they came over Friday night to see the house that Brent built for us.  We took a tour of Natalie and Jeremy's camper as soon as we arrived and the kids love their bed! Ha!

We played outside for a little bit and the kids had fun taking Natalie's dog for walks.

Then, we headed to the lake which was very interesting! There was loud Tejano music and the kids just wanted to play in the sand/mud area.  However, I was impressed with Beck's swimming skills.  He and I swam to the platform and back to the beach area.  I don't think Kinsey was crazy about the lake water.
