I thought about letting Beck skip school on his birthday but opted to wait until today (Fun Friday). We went to the zoo this morning and it was pretty crowded. I found out that many schools take field trips about this time of year.
Beck and Kinsey are masters at navigating the map.
Our first stop is at the lion's den because there are four cubs! I wish I knew how old they are but I do know they are too young to be around daddy. He's actually waiting for the door to open so he can go in and the cubs can come out and play.
They let the cubs out twice each day...once in the morning and once in the afternoon. They were wound up this morning! We loved watching them play!
These giant tortoises are located across from the lion's and the kids love watching these dinosaurs looking creatures.

Beck's other favorite animal to check out are the alligators.
Beck also loves the reptile building which is filled with lots of snakes, spiders and baby turtles.
This was our very first time to go into the fenced-in area where birds are located and Beck and Kinsey fed them! It was a special moment to watch Beck and Kinsey try so hard at being patient...just waiting for a little bird to grab a few seeds off of their stick. Plus, the excitement on their faces was priceless!
