I love weddings so much that I wish I could attend one every single weekend! I've often thought about being a wedding planner but that would mean never having a Saturday night off which kind of scares me. Maybe I'll look into it now that my Saturday nights aren't that busy anyway. Joanie has excellent taste because I've been to many weddings in my lifetime and this one is at the top of my list. The location is phenomenal! The scenery is perfect! Everything flowed as it should. And, the food was very impressive! I noticed that when one item would get low such as stuffed mushrooms then the staff would replace it with something just as wonderful such as shrimp cocktail. The croissant sandwiches look like they came from my former place of employment...la Madeleine. They also had a giant chocolate fountain. Perfecto!
Joanie described the reception to me when we met at the catfish place in Ore City a while back. She said that the older people would sit inside and eat while the younger people would be dancing outside which is exactly what happened. Joey and Joanie's first dance was really sweet and I especially enjoyed watching my Aunt Trish dance with her son, Joey.

What made this night even more special is that only one brother could not be here as he is working in Nebraska right now.
I asked Christie's husband to take a picture of all of the cousins. (Noah, Adin (Christie's sons), Christie, Katrina, Joey, Stacey, Katie, Wendy, Salena and me)
Then, I did what most girls do these days and took a few selfies with Stacey and Christie.
I also captured Wendy with her true loves which are babies (Ava) and the cousin that she helped raise since she was a baby and that's Katie.
Probably the most gorgeous cakes I've ever seen!

Christie and I left at the same time and I love this picture of her hugging her younger brother...so sweet!
For the most part, weddings pretty much flow the same as they did twenty years ago. The only thing that has changed over the years is what is used when the bride and groom depart. For many years, it was seeds then the popular thing to do was pass out little bottles of bubbles and tonight, we all lit up a sparkler. It looks like my sparkler got Joey in the booty. Lol!!!
On the way home, I thought about this special night. The reason why I love weddings so much is because it is the most magical night for the bride and groom, everybody is so happy and there is so much love in the air. I know my Aunt Trish was beyond happy that almost our entire family was there for this special night. I was super excited that I was able to dance the night away! I can't remember the last time I did that. In fact, I will have to wear flats to church the next morning because my feet are killing me! My Aunt Trish told me that she had forgotten how good of a dancer I am and the only reason why I'm bringing this up is because of memories. I pretty much grew up with my Aunt Trish and cousin Christie. When my Uncle Chris came into their lives, I witness the dating and the wedding. Anyway, Christie and I would make up a dance routine in her bedroom then we would perform our routine for them and they would just laugh at us. Those were the good ole days! I recently heard Kelly Clarkson say, "Weddings are for the guest...not the bride and groom." That statement is so true! Weddings are so stressful for the bride and groom and there's not much down time because there are so many things that have to be done such as pictures with the family, first dance, pictures with the cake, pictures throwing the bouquet, etc. I want to thank Joey and Joanie from the bottom of my heart for a super fun night! I love both of you and wish you all the best in your future endeavors as husband and wife!
