This is how the kids kill time until they catch the bus to camp.

The library is focusing on honeybees this week.

I helped my friend, Nichole, today by taking her daughter (Madison) to the library.

My friend, Janna, helped me by picking up Beck and the grass at her house looks wonderful!

GABC Summer Camp

I am SO nervous because today is Beck's first day of summer camp!  All parents drop their kids off at the Green Acres Baptist Church a little before 9am each day this week then the kids load on a big school bus that will shuttle them to the camp site which is in Whitehouse (Lake Tyler).  The kids will stay there all day doing all kinds of fun activities such as shooting bow and arrows, swimming, making crafts, bounce house, fishing, etc.  I know Beck will love it but I do feel bad that it's SO stinkin' hot!  At the end of the day, all of the kids will ride the bus back to church and the pick-up time is 4pm.

This is a well deserved treat after such a long and hot day!  Luckily, he loved the first day and can't wait to go back!

Lockers and Brent Talk

07.20.14

The cool thing about Brent's job is that we can collect things from various schools as they remodel such as the old slide we once had.  Yesterday, we went to a job site in Chandler and picked up some gym lockers.

How cool do the gym lockers look in our garage?!

Today is Brent's big day!  He is giving a talk at church today and we cannot wait to hear him!

We are so excited that Kiki, Pops, Brian, Katherine, Ava, Lola and Otto were able to make it today!  And, Brent did a great job!  He received so many compliments!

Foot and Guns

We are at Matt's office so he can take out my stitches and Brent is here to make sure I don't pass out.  Ha!  I'm kidding.  He's here to manage the kids.


My foot looks so yucky!  But, I'm sure it will look so much better after it has completely healed up and the good news is that my suspicious lesion was just a simple mole. Yeah!

We love getting the juice out of honeysuckle!

We also love shooting the pond!

It takes two ride-on's and one golf cart to get to the pond.  Ha!

Treehouse and haircut

Janna invited us over for a play date and I could not wait to see their new tree house they just built.  It's pretty cool!  It has a bucket on a pulley, stained glass window, fancy chandelier and a cowhide rug!  She also has two chickens that we fed!  One of these days, I'd like to have a couple of chickens just to have fresh eggs!  Fresh is Best!



Right before we were getting ready to leave, Janna busted out this kit for the kids to put together.  She thought it was easy but it turned out to be very difficult!  In fact, she and I could not figure it out so Brent tried it when he got home from work and concluded that the directions are wrong.  

We are finally getting Beck a haircut!  And, Kinsey wanted me to take a picture of her.  :)

Park, Chickfila, BB Guns and Sonic

We met Misty and her boys along with Shannon and her kids at the Brookshire's park this morning.

Then, we ate lunch at Chickfila.

More bb gun practice and Beck gave his little sister helpful shooting tips.

Spent the evening at Sonic and that's a full day of fun!

Turtle and Library

07.15.14

Brent mowed the yard last night and asked me to put ant killer on all of the ant mounds in our yard.  As I was looking around our back yard, I noticed a fairly large turtle snuggled in some tall grass by our fence.  The kids want to keep him and Kinsey named him/her Barry/Berry!

My church friend, Nichole, asked me to watch her girls (Madison and Ashlynn) today so she could have some down time since she just had a baby.  We took them to the library for Science Week.

We spent the evening shooting bb guns in our back yard!
