Story Time and the Kindle Girls

We have a lot planned today but I want to show you what happened yesterday.  Melanie volunteered to be at the boy scout camp today so her girls stayed with us all day yesterday.  They all dressed up and went for a ride on our street!  Crazy kids!  I especially love Beck's costume...pj's and a scary mask!

Today, we went to the Bullard library for story time and the kids made a cute craft.

Then, we went to the Whitehouse library and learned about therapeutic pets.  As soon as that ended, I bolted to Gilmer to get my hair cut and colored.

The kids love Kiki's bathtub!  Do you like my hair color?

Dolphin Time at the Library

The summer reading program has started and the library offers fun activities for the kids each week.  This week's focus is on Dolphin's.  The kids made a cute sun catcher after hearing stories about dolphin's.

Daddy blew up some fun bouncy balloons!

Great Wolf Lodge_Day Three

Our time here must come to an end.  Goodbye outdoor pool, goodbye inside pool play area, goodbye video arcade, goodbye fun room with bunk beds and goodbye family.  See you again soon!

I think Kinsey would stay here forever if she could!

Jeff, Jill and Marcus already left because Jeff wasn't feeling well. 

We are hoping to continue the tradition of meeting up for a weekend after school is out.  We had a really good time at this place but I think we should check out other places.  Looking forward to this fun-filled weekend next year!

After checking out of the hotel, we went to Bass Pro Shop for some fun activities.

Beck and Daddy did a little bow hunting.

Beck did a great job shooting the BB gun.

Kinsey enjoyed the craft which was painting.

We found a carousel inside the building!  How fun is this?!?!

Then, we saved the best and most fun part of our day last...fishing!!! This thing is fully stocked so I really hope Beck can catch a fish.

This little girl with long, blonde hair wearing some of the bracelets she got from Kiki for her birthday actually touched the fish!  She's not scared!

We ate lunch at Chili's.

This is what the kids did on the way home...caught up on some rest from a fun weekend.

Great Wolf Lodge_Day Two (part two)

A super big thanks to Kiki and Pops for a wonderful evening/meal/trip!

We went back to the hotel and Beck could not wait to change into his pj's!  Kinsey only wanted to change shoes (she wanted to wear her princess house shoes!).  That's my girl!  ha ha!

We all met in the video arcade section and the kids had a blast!

Then, we made our way over to the lobby for story time.

Of course we had to make a stop at the Sweet Shoppe for a late night snack.  (Lucky kids!)  Beck would not take a picture with Kinsey!

But, he finally caved in!  Yeah!

Our last stop of the evening...Kiki and Pops room for some yummy cotton candy!

And, chocolate for Kinsey.

Great Wolf Lodge_Day Two (part one)

We started our morning in the indoor area and I watched Beck and Ava play in the wave pool. 

Then, we moved to the toddler section which was a pretty neat area for little ones.

Kinsey is laughing at Daddy going down the kiddie slide. He's the coolest Dad!

Marcus gave Taylor a ride.  

Then, we ventured out for some fun in the sun!

It doesn't get any better than eating a sandwich in bed while watching tv!

I achieved my one goal of getting a family picture!  I am so thankful that we are all healthy!  Winning!

We are eating dinner at Rain Forest Cafe tonight!

We found the perfect cup for Daddy in the gift shop!

Our last experience at this place was not good because our kids hated it!  But, they sure loved it this time!  Yeah!

It really is a neat place for the family!  They have animals that move and make sounds, the best light-up flashing cups and great food!

My drink of choice...root beer! I love how the cup is lighting up Taylor's face!

All of the grand kids received a balloon animal thanks to Kiki and Pops!
