YW Cookout at Tammy's

In preparation for the upcoming girls camp, they are learning how to cook tonight at Tammy's house.

Korie is teaching the girls how to prepare the food in a dutch oven.

They put everything in the dutch oven and Maddy is taking it to the fire.

Tammy has an awesome back yard and an awesome fire pit that she just recently discovered.  It was covered when they moved in but we've had a lot of rain lately and the ground caved in and that's how they found this gem!

The food is delicious!  I want to go camping now!

Teaching them how to make smores is a MUST!!!

These precious girls are working hard on their recital routine.

No school equals fun at home!

We started with the water hose and Kinsey got soaking wet.  I'm sure you know why...big brother soaked her!

What am I going to do with this little streaker?

Then the kids begged me to set up the water slide that Beck got for his birthday.

Unfortunately, the bottom part of the slide that holds the pool of water has a slight leak which is a big bummer!  I had to air it up several times as they played which was kind of dangerous getting the electric pump near the water slide! 

Oh well, they had a blast! 

Easter Sunday

The Easter bunny generously stopped by Kiki and Pops house.

Beck and Kinsey love their treats as well as mommy and daddy.

Off to church!  (A big thanks to Kiki and Pops for the gorgeous Easter outfits!)

We are home and the Easter bunny also stopped by our house!

Then, we worked on cleaning up our new ride for the neighborhood.  All of the cool kids ride their golf cart around here.

It was a wonderful Easter weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the family!  We are especially grateful for our Heavenly Father and for His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. 

Dying and Hunting Easter Eggs

It's a long-time tradition to dye Easter eggs so that's what we did this afternoon.

I didn't want dye on Beck's shirt so we simply removed it.

Who would play tick-tack-toe on Beck's back?  I'm guessing it was daddy!

Now, it's time to hunt eggs and Kiki and Pops did a great job hiding them.  Notice the number on the egg?  We did the hunt like Beck's school..each kid had to look for his/her assigned number.  It really does make the egg hunt last longer and each kid ends up with the same amount of eggs.  It was a lot of fun!

Easter at Kiki and Pops House

After eating lunch at Kiki and Pops house, I walked by the kitchen window and saw a big and strange creature creeping along their front yard.  Wanna know what it is???  I swear it's an ancestor from the Jurassic era!

Poor Bella got a little too close and got a bloody nose. 

We were all amazed watching this old snapping turtle defend itself!

Brent loved taunting the poor thing!  Look at that tail, claws and mouth!!!

Luckily, these are steel toed boots or that bite would have hurt!

You don't see this every day and the kids really enjoyed watching the turtle attack Uncle B's boots and water bottle.

It's that time of year...time to remove the pool cover so the water can start warming up.

The top of the pool cover is the best place for frogs to grow so they were every where after it was removed.  Ava and Lola loved catching them!  (No frogs were harmed.)

Riding the golf cart is so much fun!!!
