The weekend before Thanksgiving is when we like to pull out all of the Christmas decorations. We like decorating on this particular weekend so that when we return from East Texas after Thanksgiving, our house is ready for the next holiday...celebrating the birth of Christ!
This year was really fun because Beck wanted to help decorate the tree. Our tree is VERY kid friendly this year! We only have stuffed animals and jingle bells on the tree. In addition, we also have an ornament that we made last year with Beck's footprint on it and his foot has GROWN since then! He loves to move the ornaments around so our tree changes on a daily basis. He is so funny!
Sorry Beck but Daddy loves to take your shirt off...

Dressing Up
I've been with la Madeleine for six years now and they have an annual Halloween party where the employees (aka associates) dress up for prizes. Afterwards, we were served pizza and a giant chocolate chip cookie. Then, we were divided into six teams and competed in a miniature golf tournament. I'm not really sure what I dressed up as but I had fun putting it together. I got everything at Wal-Mart...the wig ($6), eyelashes ($3) and the shirt came with the headband ($8). This make do costume won third place for 4 movie tickets! And, my golf team won the tournament and we each received a $100 gift card!!! I was so super excited!!!

Beck's little sibling
On Friday afternoon, Brent and I went to my doctor's office for an 8-week sonogram and saw Beck's sibling! The baby looks like a gummy bear and the heartbeat was 163 bpm which is really good. Jules, the girl that did the sonogram, said a slow heart beat isn't good. Brent and I are so excited! We hope that Beck is just as excited about being a big brother. I know he'll be an awesome helper once the little one arrives in June.

Nana's Visit
Last weekend was Natalie's baby shower that I helped host and Brent went to Six Flags with Uncle Kerry, Kathy, Brian and Katherine so Nana and Wendy drove up Saturday morning and took care of Beck. They had the best time! Beck laughed so much that he was totally exhausted after they left our house Sunday morning. We went to the mall Saturday afternoon and they already had the Christmas tree up and it was so pretty! Thanks to Nana and Wendy for helping us out! I know Beck enjoyed your visit!

It's Halloween!!!
As we got Beck ready to go to the Trunk or Treat at church, Brent wanted to paint Beck's face but as you can see that didn't work out so well. As soon as Brent would put stuff on his face, Beck would immediately smear it with his sleeve. What a mess! We decided to wash his face and let him go as is.Beck wasn't totally sure what to do so he mostly ran around. The first time somebody gave him some candy, Beck threw the candy back into THEIR bucket so we had to show him to put the candy in HIS bucket. That was really funny! We only got candy from a few people because we didn't need all of that at our house and he didn't really understand what was going on anyway. He had a blast running from us and giving Jeff and Jill some lovin! He also enjoyed playing in the ice that was dumped out of the ice chests...
Not Sure...

Mrs. Linda and Mr. Mark's Party
On October 30th, Mark and Linda had a party for the kids they keep every day and the parents. It was fun seeing all of the kids in action and to meet the parents. Mrs. Linda did a great job with the food and had goodie bags for each kid. Beck's bag had crayons, coloring book, a pencil, tatoos, funny glasses, an orange bracelet and a few pieces of candy.
Before the party...Kid's table...Mallory...she is so super cute!
