Thursday afternoon, my long-time friend, Leigh drove in from McKinney to visit her mom. Since she's in town, we planned a trip to Efurd's for some ice cream and play-time. Unbeknownst to us, Efurd's closes at 5pm and we got there right at 5pm. We ordered ice cream and sat down to enjoy it. I noticed a guy lowering blinds around the building and that's when we found out they had closed about 20 minutes ago. I'm surprised nobody said anything to us.
Luckily for us, they have picnic tables near the pond. Beck was the only one interested in eating ice cream and all of our kids were ready to play! Unfortunately, it had rained right before we got there so it was pretty muddy. Kinsey was the only one to fall on the muddy ground twice. She was a trooper though...she got up and kept up with the bigger kids.
It was fun watching the kids play in all of the old vehicles...and, it was kind of neat having the whole place to ourselves.
Daddy started cooking dinner for us and had it ready by the time we got home. Beck and Kinsey were so hungry that they ate dinner without us begging them to eat or making deals with them to eat. It was a fun afternoon!
