All of Beck's birthday's have been either a house party or a party at the park but not this year. We decided that a five-year old should have a party at his favorite place which is Chuck E Cheese. Beck had a few of his cousins (Ava, Lola and Otto) in town for the party, a few of his church friends (Laila, Olive, Ethan, Claudia and Rebeca) and a couple of his best friends (Aiden and Emory) from school showed up on this busy Easter weekend. I haven't seen Beck smile as much as he did today!
After the kids played lots of games, we sat down for some cheese pizza.
Then, it was time to blow out some candles. (Note to self: Dark blue icing isn't the best choice. Can you see Beck's blue lips and teeth? And, Kinsey's blue face!)
Beck opened his gifts so fast!
Yes, Kinsey ran around barefoot the entire time we were at Chuck E Cheese. The only time I see Beck's feet is at night when he takes a bath.
After the party ended, we loaded up and headed to the movie theater to see The Croods. Beck and Kinsey played with the balloons all the way there!
We got there late and the theater was packed so we had to sit on the second row. Yikes, that's really close! And, I was really surprised that none of the kids fell asleep. I guess popcorn, soda, cotton candy and nachos did the trick in keeping them awake. By the way, the movie is super cute and I can't wait to buy the DVD! Daddy and Uncle Brian saw a more manly movie in the theater next to us called GI Joe.
Thanks to everybody that came to Beck's birthday party!!! What's next on the agenda? Dying eggs at Pops and Kiki's house!
