We have a lot of things planned for today which is why I'm going to break this up into several posts. Let's start with the 9am Easter egg hunt at church. It stopped raining around 8 this morning so we were unsure what would happen. This activity was split between two different locations. At the pavilion, several church members brought baby animals for the kids to pet such as goats, kittens, puppies and chicks. Beck, Kinsey, Ava and Lola loved on every animal. I got in on the loving too. I love little baby kittens! They are so cute!
The young women planned a fun "roll the egg down the hill" activity which turned into "let's see how many ways we can destroy the egg". Kinsey didn't roll her egg, she and Beck loved throwing it down the hill which caused it to crack and break. Beck and Lola took their egg to the retaining wall and squished it open.
Meanwhile, at the gymnasium, donuts, orange juice and milk was being served and the missionaries were attempting to make balloon creations for the kids. Brent jumped in and tried to make a few things. It was quite entertaining to watch especially when Beck gave Kinsey a "hammer" balloon and she decided to hit people with it. But, the most exciting thing for me was watching Mr. Beck eat a donut!!! This kid never wants a donut so he must have been really hungry!
Last but not least, was the egg hunt which was done inside since it was so muddy outside. Again, I would have let the little ones get a 30 second head start. I took Kinsey to the nursery room and Beck was suppose to go to the primary room. Luckily, Patti took Beck to primary with her little girl. I think Kinsey found two eggs by the time we got in there so I was hoping Beck had better luck which he did thanks to our friend, Stevie. Tiffany's oldest son, Stevie, is so sweet to Beck. He gave Beck a whole bunch of eggs so Beck was super excited when we finally caught up with him. It was very difficult finding him amongst all of the kids going in and out of different rooms.
Well, that was a pretty exciting morning! Now, let's pick up some balloons, cupcakes and set up at Chuck E Cheese for Beck's birthday party.
