Brent wasn't too keen on my idea of leaving chairs by the Buckeye Bandstand when we woke up Saturday morning so I rushed to get everybody ready in hopes of us getting a good spot when we got up there. About 45 minutes before the parade began, we sat in our chairs by the Bandstand. Our view wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as our front row seats at the Friday parade. Since we had to wait for the parade to begin, I took some fun pictures of the kids. Beck is experimenting with his facial expressions!
I love this one because Kinsey is laid back!
Queen Drew's float kicked off the parade...
Samantha's float won third place...
Beck and Kinsey stood on the stroller to get a better view of Steve and Tiffany pulling a float.
This float held up the parade for so long that some people thought the parade ended and left! But, I later discovered after reading the local paper that the flag was too tall to clear the power lines so they had to find a ladder. Can you see the broken flag? This magnificent float won first place!
The 75-minute parade could have been a lot shorter if people didn't enter it just to drive their tractor in it!
Check this out...an 18-wheeler pulling a trailer full of tractors! Is that really necessary?
Sleeping Beauty's float won second place...
Towards the end of the parade, Beck decided to show off his belly! Ha! He is a hoot!
It was really warm so we left as soon as the parade ended and headed to McDonald's. We wasted 30-45 minutes waiting to order a Happy Meal! The place was packed inside and the drive-thru was packed as well. The things we do for our kids. (Smile!)
