After the kids woke up from their afternoon nap, we took them to the Yamboree Grounds and we saw a few cows, bunnies and goats. Then, we walked over to the booths and they were packing up! Apparently, they close at 5pm but we did run into Jarod, Heather, Kenzie and Lidia and they told us which ones to hit before everything was packed up. Brent bought himself a bb gun and Beck a machine gun toy and a toy snake. I got Kinsey a headband and a hat for myself. Beck and Kinsey played on the playground then we headed to the square.
Surprisingly, Beck wanted to ride this ride and it not only went around and around in one direction but it stopped then went the opposite direction! I'm so glad I sat by the outside door because I was feeling nauseated! Unfortunately, Beck wanted to ride it again! Yikes! The line was super long so we persuaded him to go back to his favorite rides.
Beck stopped crying once he got in line for this ride. We laughed so hard watching him shoot his new gun while on the Fred Flinestone train!
This was the high light of our night...I put Kinsey (16 -months old) on this ride with Beck! I stayed by the ride just in case she tried to get out but she never did. In fact, she was very upset with me when I took her out of the boat when the ride ended.
We played one more game which Beck absolutely loves and this one was really hard. He had to throw a plastic ball and try to land it in a floating glass bowl. The silly balls kept bouncing out of the bowls. The two men operating this game were super nice and gave Beck a stuffed frog for playing. He now sleeps with his puppy dog, Spot and now this green frog. He had so many stuffed animals when he was a baby and never had any interest in them. I guess this is one of the many changes that we will see him go through.
It's time to go...we had fun and can't wait to do it again next year!
But, before we left the square for the last time, we had to get a family sized funnel cake to take home to eat. Beck NEVER tastes anything new but he chowed down on this oh-so-yummy funnel cake! It was finger-lickin' good!
