Friday afternoon, I took the kids to Neena's for a swim while we waited for Daddy to get off work. That's the only way to spend time outside because it is too stinkin' hot! We ate dinner at Catfish Village and discovered they are selling all of their artifacts due to a future remodel. I can't wait to see the new and improved restaurant. This old fish has a $100 price tag on it.
That evening, Kinsey got into my make-up bag and tried to put on mascara. At least she knew the mascara goes on the eyes. However, it was a big ole mess trying to get all of it off her face and out of her hair!
Saturday morning, we busted out the brand new water slide that Kiki recently purchased and it was so much fun. At one point, Kinsey was about to climb up the stairs to the slide and decided to take off her swimsuit. You can imagine how shocked we were to see her come down the slide naked! She flew down the water slide and Beck did everything he could to not go down the slide fast. I've never seen a kid go down a water slide as slow as he did.
That evening, we got to see the Batman movie and it was very disturbing especially since a lunatic shot a theater full of people at the midnight premiere. In my high school and college days, Mom told me numerous times that nothing good happens after midnight. She is right! After the long movie, we grabbed a quick bite to eat at Cowboy Chicken and I chose poorly. I got the chicken tortilla soup which had lots of ingredients but, I did like the doors to the restrooms.
Sunday evening, Beck and Kinsey played in the driveway and put rocks in Kinsey's little pink wagon while wearing Beck's shoes. Daddy had to use the water hose to rinse both Beck and Kinsey before they could get in the bathtub. They were SO dirty. What a great weekend!
