Last night, we dressed Beck's favorite Transformer, Optimus Prime, in Beck's first day of kindergarten clothes which is a tradition that Daddy and his brothers and sister did before the first day of school. Of course, Beck picked out a Transformers shirt to wear because that really and truly best represents him.
Little People's School was swarming with parents this morning! Look at this super cute and super sweet little boy! He's growing up way too fast.
Look at this little angel that will begin pre-k next year!
After I left Beck with his teacher, the kindergarten parents met in a meeting area in the back of the church for breakfast and a prayer. Beck's school hours are 9am-1:30pm.
When I picked him up, he said he had a good day and I rewarded him with a trip to the Discovery Science Place to finish up our Age of the Dinosaur tour that began at the planetarium. Life-like creatures from the Jurassic and Cretaceous period is a rare treat to see. The head of T-Rex was in the entry of the building.
Then, we went into the hands-on area where Beck and Kinsey enjoy building with magnets, operating robot hands to grab balls, play in the news station room, pretend to operate a restaurant and defy gravity in the room with many hills and golf balls.
Then, we moved into the room with the animated dinosaurs. It was really nice because hardly anybody was there since the kids started school today.
Pretending to be a fireman never gets old.
Then, we went into another building that had some really cool things such as this plasma ball which was Beck's favorite thing.
I can't wait to see the program they offer next year! And, I hope Beck makes it through this first week of school without crying.
