We were all so tired that we all took a nap after we got home from Longview. Kinsey and I were the first ones up and when I walked into the living room, I saw giant snowflakes falling!!! I was so excited that I ran in the bedroom and woke Brent up so he could see them. You never know how long they will last around here. I was afraid it would stop snowing before he woke up. Before Beck went to sleep, Brent asked him if he had a good Christmas and ironically Beck said, "Yes! But, I wish it would snow." His wish came true! In fact, we ended up getting 3" of snow!!!
We ventured to Kiki and Pops house to spend some time with them and this is what Kinsey wanted to wear...Beck's coon hat, his gloves, her bathrobe and her fancy boots.
The 5-minute drive was a bit scary but we made it and hopefully it won't be too bad when we go home. Before we walked in the house, Brent made a snowball...yummy!
It didn't take too long for us to go outside and play in the snow. Many snowballs were thrown at everybody including Pops who was watching us through the window. Daddy helped the kids make a small snowman.
We went inside to thaw and to dry our wet clothes. Kiki gave Kinsey something to eat and she must have enjoyed it by the mess she made on her face.
We went back outside for Round Two of playing in the snow and I wish I had dressed a little warmer because the capri jogging pants and the vest simply did not cut it. Needless to say, I did not stay outside for very long this time.
Once again, the kids took off their wet clothes and put them in the dryer. This is something that you will never see...Beck without pants and socks! This kid is always dressed and always wear socks. The only time I get to see his bare feet is when he takes a bath. Yes, we are back to taking a bath now. The shower phase didn't last long.
This is a day that we will never forget...snow on Christmas day! Happy Birthday Jesus! Thank you for all of the many blessings!
