The day we've been looking forward to all month is finally here and Beck told me that he wanted to go trick or treating in our neighborhood like we did last year. I love his idea but we have another obligation tonight too and that's the trunk or treat at church. What do you do to make everybody happy? Both! Daddy drove us to Rebel's mom's house...
Beck wanted to go to the house at the end of the cul de sac and Kinsey was walking quickly to try and catch up with Beck. She made the mistake of looking back at the crowd behind us and fell down. I was so afraid that I was going to see a bloody nose, scraped chin, busted lip, etc. Luckily, she only scratched her knee a little bit. Whew! We ran into my Zumba friend and she offered to take a picture of us.
Then, we drove to the house that we drive by everyday because the kids love looking at their Halloween decorations in the yard.
At this point, we are about an hour late to the trunk or treat at church.
They had activities outside and inside the gym and we tried to hit all of them.
Tiffany and her husband Stephen did a cake walk in the gym and they asked people to contribute cupcakes so I baked over 50 cupcakes. I used a new recipe for the cupcakes and the icing and they were awesome!
A table was set up for face painting and a sweet young girl painted a cute little flower on Kinsey's face.
Beck really enjoyed playing the games! In fact, it was close to closing time and Beck wanted to help with the last game we played. He handed the rings to the kids for the toss game. He's such a good helper!
We wanted Aunt Karen to see the kids dressed up so we stopped by her house after leaving the trunk or treat. After visiting with her, we finally got home at 9:30! What a busy but fun Wednesday night!
