Memorial Day

First and foremost, we want to thank all of the men and women who serve our nation and protect our freedoms.

We wanted to take Beck to Jack Carter pool which usually opens at 10am but I guess they opened later because of it being a holiday. We got our swim suits on, packed a bag of towels and goodies and got there at 10:30 to find out they would not open until noon. We were so disappointed...Beck played on the play ground until we couldn't take the heat any longer. There's another place like this on Parker road and thought they might be open but they weren't so we played in our own pool while Beck ran around it. The best part about Jack Carter pool is the kid's area is super safe because the water is only 2' deep at the most. They have slides and wheels to turn that shoots water plus tables in the shade. Oh well, we'll try it again another day.

Jeff and Jill came over for burgers that afternoon and took a dip in the pool. Marcus looked like Moses in the boat...
It was a very nice holiday and we were not looking forward to going back to work but this is my last week so I was really excited to get things wrapped up.
