Perot Museum of Nature and Science (part two)

The other cool thing in this same room is the camping area complete with a tent, a picnic table, pots and pans to cook with over a fake fire and a large hollow log.

I can't tell you how much time we spent at each area but this water table seemed to be a favorite for Beck and Marcus.  It has pvc pipes to connect to create different water flows, several water bottles to fill, boats to float and a canal very similar to the Panama canal.  I was floored at how much there was to do at this water table!

Then, we ran into our friends, Jeff, Janna, Cash and Blake while we were in this room!  They had the same idea as we did about spending the day at a fun place since the boys were out of school.

This room also included a drawing area where kids can draw on chalk boards and another area to create imprints such as putting a leaf under the paper and using a crayon to make an imprint.  The back side of this one room was solid glass and there was a giant sand area outside of this room.  We would have gone out there if it were warmer but it was a little too chilly.  I highly recommend this place!

By now, our kids are starving so we walked across the street to a Mexican restaurant and devoured our food!

We had so much fun but now it's time to go home.  A big thanks to Jill for letting us spend the night and for hanging out with us today!  Another quiet ride on the road...I think this is the best Fun Friday of the year!
