We are taking a road trip to Henderson on this lovely Saturday morning for Ava's first birthday party while my hard-working hubby plants bushes for our front flower bed.
This is what we saw when we first arrived...a really cute toy box that was bedazzled by my Aunt Trish, a chalk board filled with lots of info and many, many gifts.
This cake looks awesome! And, it was delicious too! In fact, Beck kept begging me during the party if he could have some cake but it took quite a while to eat it since we ate hot dogs first then opened a bazillion gifts then we finally got some cake. Many people had left by the time they had cut the cake so there was a lot left over. Then, Beck begged me for the animals on the cake and even teared up when I told him we couldn't take them. My Aunt Trish overheard our conversation and put the entire top layer of the cake plus extra animals on a plate for us to take home. Wow, I've got one happy boy on my hands and Brent was so happy that we brought some home for him.
My Aunt Trish is one proud Grandmother!
My cousin, Joey, and his wife, Joanie with their sweet baby Ava.
My cousin, Christie, is one proud Aunt!
My cousin, Salena, thought it would be funny to give Ava a sip of tea but Ava didn't get any since she doesn't know how to suck out of a straw yet.
My Aunt Trish with her two beautiful daughters (Christie and Salena) and her favorite niece. Lol!!!
My Uncle Chris (on the far left) with his brothers.
Beck and Kinsey played hard on this really long obstacle bounce house and devoured the hot dog and chips.
This little birthday girl is ready to open up all of her gifts.
My Aunt Vickie was also at the party.
Now that's a very big Hello Kitty!
Ava has her very own birthday cake!
This is what she looked like after digging into her cake. They stuck her in the bathtub afterwards. Ha!
Now, it's time to hit the road and see my new bushes!
