Saturday night with Nana

On Saturday, August 15th, Nana drove to Dallas to spend Saturday night with Beck and Wendy. Wendy is afraid to stay at home at night so Nana offered to spend the night at our house so Brent and I could have a real date! An old high school friend of Brent's works at NYLO which is a very swanky hotel in Plano and she kindly hooked us up with the best room in the hotel ($1550 per night). However, we only paid $90 which included breakfast for two!! What a deal! We started our date night by checking into the hotel and we were shocked to see our over 600 square foot hotel room with a giant balcony. After taking lots of pictures of our room, we headed to Mi Cocina. This is the restaurant Brent and I had our first date which was 7 years ago! After stuffing our faces with delicious Mexican food, we headed to Stonebriar Mall to see District 9 (alien movie). (On our first date 7 years ago, we saw XXX staring Vin Diesel.) After the movie, we ate organic yogurt at Orange Cup and it was so yummy! We headed back to the hotel to check out the night life by the pool and listened to a few songs then off to our spectacular room. We took more pictures on the balcony and thought about Beck and Nana...wondering if everything was ok at the house and of course it was! I wanted to call but I refrained.

On our hotel bed was a stuffed bear and that's what Beck got from our night out.Thanks to Nana for giving us a night alone and I know Beck had a blast playing with you!
