Addison's 2nd Birthday Party

11.19

My creative friend, Natalie, always goes above and beyond when it comes to hosting a party and today she gave her daughter, Addison, a birthday party she will never forget. Actually, she's only 2 years old so she might not remember it but she'll have the pictures to prove it was a fantastic birthday. The theme of the party was farm animals and Natalie had some animals for the kids to play with but most of the kids played on the swing set.

We had hoped that the kids would nap on the way to the party but that didn't happen so Beck was pretty grumpy and Kinsey was really grumpy when we went out to dinner. Needless to say, our evening ended up being a little stressful. We ate at Cheesecake Factory which was a huge mistake! We should have went to a fast food place since our kids were so tired but we did get to see Santa and some Christmas lights at the Allen shopping center. We all went to bed early and got lots of sleep! It was nice!

Friday Night Family Fun Night

11.18

We usually spend Friday nights watching the Buckeyes play but Wes had to take a class in Shreveport so he was exhausted from that plus Jill and Marcus came in town so we hung out with the family. The kids had so much fun playing! Earlier in the day, Jill and I took the kids to Lori's and ate a delicious lunch! Then, we took the kids to the Yamboree grounds and I'm so upset that I forgot my camera!

Kinsey is officially 17-months old today! She did her own thing tonight since the boys were doing their thing...

Little Miss K

Kinsey woke up before Beck did and brought me her shoes which means she wanted to go outside. This little girl LOVES being outside! Luckily, the sun room in Nanny's house is pretty much all windows so Beck can see us when he wakes up. I can't get her to wear a bow but she'll wear a headband...go figure! While we walked around the back yard, she held my cell phone like she sees mommy hold it! She's growing up so fast!

A Really Big Play Date

After we left the library, we headed to Kiki's house to play with Noah, Kenzie and Lidia and boy did they all have fun!

Then it was time for lunch so Kiki and Jennifer made pb&j sandwiches for all of the kids. I was really anxious to see how Beck would do since he has not had one of these in a really long time. He was the last one to finish but he did a pretty good job...he ate half of his sandwich with some help from Kiki.

It was such a nice day that we decided to let the kids burn up some energy on the swing set. It was chilly but manageable with a jacket. Kinsey was making me laugh because she was trying so hard to keep up with the big kids.

After Kenzie and Lidia left, the boys decided to give the dogs some attention. They LOVE Raven!!! They gave both dogs treats then grabbed a handful of dog food and threw it in Willow's cage. They thought this was SO funny!!! Until Kiki caught them then they had to stop.

We all went inside to rest a bit then Noah took pictures of me and I think he did an excellent job.

Beck wanted to take pictures too so I gave him my camera and he took pictures of Noah. I think he's a natural photographer!

Poor Kinsey fell asleep sitting in the chair so that's when we packed up and went home for a much needed afternoon nap.

Surprise!!!

11.17

Guess who's here??? The Mask family arrived last night and Jennifer brought Noah to the library for story time this morning!!! We were so excited to see them! The librarian read a true story about how the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade began. With that being said, the kids made a turkey using a plastic cup, construction pieces and lots of tape. Beck and Noah did a great job making their turkey...

The boys showed off their turkey by sitting on the bench the librarian sits on during story time and that's when Kiki noticed little Brent Jr!...oh Beck, what am I going to do with you? Silly boy!

Playing in the Water!

11.15

This is truly shocking! Beck is not a fan of getting dirty nor does he like to play in the water. He had no part of playing on the splash pad at the Spring Hill park but he sure didn't mind getting wet today! His hands got dirty and I didn't want to take him in to wash them because I didn't want to leave Kinsey outside by herself so I took him to the water faucet by the back door. He was so intrigued that he turned the water faucet on and got soaking wet! He got so wet that we had to strip him down to his underwear.

Beck loved filling his boot with water then shaking it up and down splashing water on himself and mostly Kinsey.

Miss Kinsey loved it! She loved sticking her hand in the gushing water and she really liked it when the water pounded her shoes. So, she ended up soaking wet too!

This was right before nap time so they both changed into their comfy pj's for nap time and they slept very well today. We all laughed a lot today and I am so grateful for being able to have this moment.
