This Girl Loves to Be On the Move!

Kinsey is not one to stay in one place for very long and I've also discovered that sitting in a stroller while mommy shops is not fun either. She loves to crawl all over the house which means we have to keep the bathroom doors shut or she will play in the toilet! And, she loves to stand up so here are a couple of cute pics of her standing in her crib...

Ava's Visit - continued

It's Ava's last night with us and we had so much fun! The kids drove the Jeep to the green belt which is the safest place for them since it is a huge grassy area. The bike trail is also on the green belt so we have to pay attention for bikers or runners. Luckily, the Jeep doesn't go that fast and we are able to stay close to Beck and Ava. They had so much fun driving and especially loved running over Brent's feet! They thought that was hilarious!
Kinsey enjoyed watching them laugh...
Since it was getting dark outside, we went inside and that's when the kids thought it would be fun to "ride the pony"! They started on Brent then ended on my back.

We really enjoyed having Ava with us and can't wait to do it again!

Ava's Visit - Day Two

We asked Ava if she wanted to go to church and she said, "no" so we opted to stay at home since we had our hands full anyway. The kids spent most of the day playing on the new swing set Brent built and they had the best time! Ava kept telling Uncle B to push her higher on the teeter totter but Beck wasn't all that excited to go that high but he was brave for the most part and hung in there.

Ava can make some crazy faces for the camera!

The kids also had fun playing in the sand table making birthday cakes for me and Brent! It was so cute! They used sticks as candles and sang the birthday song.

While I was at the grocery store, Beck and Ava played on his workbench. Check out the safety glasses!!! They are a hoot!

Ava's First Night with Us

After Beck's class, I met mom in Canton so she could take Wendy back home. Then, I drove to Katherine's house to pick up Ava because she was going to spend a couple of nights with us. This was her first sleep over with us and we are so excited. We thought we would start with Ava and then add Lola next time.

We met Jeff, Jill and Marcus at the park since the weather was so nice. Beck and Ava had fun swinging and running around. Kinsey just chilled in the stroller. I think Ava and Beck were really hungry because they ate most of the bread that we brought for the ducks.

After playing and feeding the ducks, we picked up some burgers for dinner.

See How They Run

The city of Plano offers a wide variety of classes for all ages...from preschoolers all the way up to senior citizens. The Leisure catalogue is sent out about four times per year and last time we signed Beck up for the Tumble Tykes class but this time I thought this class sounded fun. The class is called See How They Run and the description said, "beanbags + balls + music = fun!"

Since Wendy was here, she stayed at the house with Kinsey since this class is during Kinsey's morning nap which means Brent and I got to see Beck in action.

The class started with Mrs. Linda singing a few kids tunes and she added lots of theatrics with her voice and her body. She did a great job of keeping the kids attention plus she keeps them involved.

Then, they got a few minutes of play time and that's when she busted out many balls of all sizes. Beck enjoyed throwing the balls in the basketball hoop. He also got in the castle and we overheard him tell a kid, "this is my castle!" He loved getting on the rocking boat and the rocking car.

After releasing some energy, the kids helped clean up then Mrs. Linda pulled out a large parachute circle and put stuffed bears on it. Each kid held the parachute and popped the bears up then the parents held the parachute while the kids got under the parachute...this is Beck's favorite part. The kids also got to sit on the parachute while the parents walked in a circle making the kids go around.

I have to give kudos to Brent for being the only dad at the class! He told me that he would be willing to bet that more dads would be at the next class and he was right! I took Beck to this class the following Saturday and there were 3 dads there! Brent stayed at the house to prep our living room with caulk before the big paint job while Kinsey napped.

Friday Night Family Fun Night

We spent Wendy's last night in town at the park and it was beautiful outside! Beck had so much fun playing and we took bread to feed the ducks. He would love to touch one of the ducks!

What does a cool mom do when there are no kids to play with at the park? She goes down the slide and goes up the climbing wall!

We ate dinner at McDonald's (Beck's favorite place) then went home for the evening.

Going for a Ride

The things we do to entertain our kids...Beck wanted me to push him and Kinsey around the house in the laundry basket and they loved it!
