Richy and Lauren's Wedding

Richy and Lauren's Wedding

We started our day with 8am soccer games, then we had 2 birthday parties and now we are attending Richy K. and Lauren A.'s 6:30pm wedding in Bullard.  What a day!

The work that went into making this wedding beautiful amazes me!

Richy and Lauren's Wedding8

Very special moment.  My super sweet friend, Shannon, is singing A Thousand Years by Christina Perri with her hubby, Patrick.  This is one of my all-time favorite songs!  Shannon and Patrick did a fantastic job!  In fact, several weeks after the wedding, we heard the song on the radio and Kinsey commented on Mrs. Shannon's song!  I quickly texted Shannon and told her what Kinsey said and that made her day.

Bullard Homecoming Pep Rally and Game

10.24.14

Bullard Homecoming Pep and Game

Do you know how hard it was to find this cutie pie when every kid in the stadium is wearing blue?

Look who is sitting in front of us?  Our friend, Conner!

The primary school won the spirit stick for being the loudest!

Homecoming Noise Makers 2014

Every homeroom mom was asked to make a noise maker for their class and this is what I made for each kid in Beck's class.  I filled each water bottle with blue glitter than added the bean; hot glued blue pom-poms on the lid; added some fun football stickers and hot glued the blue ribbon to the bottom of the bottle.  It was a lot of work but I think they are pretty cute!

All dressed up to go to the homecoming game and Bullard is playing Gilmer!  How crazy is that?!?!

With so much controversy on being politically correct, I'm really surprised they have a white section.

We always leave after half time because the kids are so tired but it was nice to be able to watch the Gilmer Stars perform.

MOPS

10.23.14

Be you bravely but don't forget about who and what is important in your life.

Today's devotional is given by Mary Ann...
Exodus 16:23 "And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning."
Genesis 2:2 "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made."
What was created? Rest. The sabbath day is a gift.  God rested and so should we.  In today's culture, busier is better but we should all take a deep breath and rest on the sabbath day.

Today's speaker is Debby B. which is Shelby W.'s aunt and she is a hoot!  Her topic is, "How to keep the sizzle in your marriage."

If you rank what's important, your list should look like this...
1. God
2. Spouse
3. Children
4. Home
5. Work
6. Community

Things to Always do:

Communication is so important!  Ask your spouse about their day and how they are doing.

Don't compare your hubby to other men!  Never ask him to be like somebody else.  Focus on the good things and make a list of everything you love about your hubby.

Do not write down or talk about what you don't like about your hubby.

Look good for him.

Don't do things that will make him mad.

Have fun and laugh!

Date Night is a must!

A big thanks to the ladies that watch our precious kids during our MOPS meeting! And, a big thanks to Debby for the entertaining stories and for sharing her knowledge on marriage!
