First Week of October

We set up the Halloween blow-ups last night!

This girl loves to play in Daddy's truck!

I love watching Kinsey dance!

Beck had a 1:00pm appointment with Dr. Miner on Wednesday to have a tooth removed.  It was really hard for me to watch him go through this procedure but all went well.

He was worn out afterwards and the medicine made him so sleepy.

Beckett and Kinsey go to the same school and they are released at 1:30pm so Tammy picked up Kinsey for me since I was still in Longview.  Kinsey was so excited to be with Beckett.  (They are also in the same class at church.)

Kinsey and I took a road trip to Canton on Thursday.

Luckily, I brought the jogging stroller because Kinsey did not want to walk around and I found a couple of old windows.

I worked up a sweat pushing Kinsey and the windows up the hill where I parked!  Hot tamale!!!

She is a hoot!!!

I'm returning the favor and picked up Beckett at school on Friday.  Kinsey is ready to do this all of the time!

Caldwell Zoo

I love going to the zoo in Tyler because it's just the right size.  Not too big and not too small.

And, we get to see the baby giraffe!

We love watching the penguins!

Even though there's a fun play area for the kids with lots of sand, our favorite play area is by the elephants because of the fun tree to climb.

I think the cubs are close to being a year old now.  They are so big!

Another favorite thing we like to do is visit the reptile building.

We whistled and that made the eagle spread his/her wings.

Then, we ended our visit with a full-on photo shoot!  Love these kids so much!

Great way to end a fun-filled weekend! 

Stacey and Hank's Couples Shower

Stacey's sister, Crystal, hosted a really nice couple's shower for Stacey and Hank.  I am so happy for Stacey and we wish them many years of happiness!

Uncle Marty's 56th Birthday!!!

My mom invited everybody over to her house to celebrate Uncle Marty's birthday.  Stephen grilled burgers, mom cooked pinto beans, dip for the chips and I made a banana pudding for dessert.

We went outside to enjoy this beautiful day after we devoured the delicious food.

And, we got to watch Uncle Marty open some gifts.

Then, I got to watch the kids play with Bella at Kiki and Pops house.

Last Weekend of September

We are taking a road trip to Gilmer and spending the last weekend of September to visit with Jeff, Jill and Marcus, celebrate my uncle's birthday and to attend my cousin's couple shower.  Wow!  That's a lot for one weekend!

We met the family at a Mexican restaurant on the square Friday night and it was delicious as well as fun and festive!

MOPS

Our first Marvin MOPS meeting this year was on 9/11 and I'm super excited because I'm the Table Leader!  I just have a few more responsibilities such as reminding the ladies at my table when we are meeting, taking attendance and collecting dues.  I am floored that they thought of me to be a table leader! 

Our first meeting consisted of introductions and 10 years of celebrating Marvin MOPS.  Our theme is Be You Bravely.

Devotional: Isaiah 43:18-19, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Words of advice from Judy: Ask for forgiveness when you make a mistake then move on.  Be positive!  We are children of God. We forgive our kids when they make mistakes and Heavenly Father does the same for us.

Today's meeting is an Introduction of the Mentor Panel and this is their advice to us young moms: Heavenly Father comes first in our life then our husband. Being a stay at home mom is a privilege so be sure to take care of the home.  Be a united front especially in front of the kids.

Devotional: Psalm 5:3, "In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.  Start every morning with Heavenly Father and thank Him for the beauties of everyday things such as the blue sky, dark storms, fall leaves, grasshoppers with sticky legs, laughter, moms, dads, etc.  Heavenly Father wants to hear from us too.
Psalm 85:8, "I will listen to what God the Lord says; He promises peace to his people, his faithful servants - but let them not turn to folly."

Helpful Tip: Bible book store has a daily devotional book for kids and share with them every morning or night.
