Friday Family Night with AOL

After dinner, we hit the pool for some family fun time!  Ava and Beck loved jumping in the pool over and over and over and over!

All of the kids swarm around Uncle Brent because he's so much fun!

Kiki had an art class with Ava, Beck and Lola and this is Beck's very cool picture.  He even cut out paper to make it look like it is framed after Kiki showed him what it would look like framed using some of her cardboard corner pieces.  He is so creative!!!


Just like last week, Beck spent every night at Kiki and Pops' house but tonight will be his last night.  He will be so sad when I pick him up tomorrow.  We had fun with Ava, Lola and Otto and can't wait to see them next week at the beach!

Mister David

The library provides great entertainment for the kids during the summer.  Today, Mister David is going to show us some magic and sing for us.  This man from Dallas had all of the kids laughing so hard.

At the end, all of the kids got up to do the hokey pokey. 

I cooked a Father's Day meal tonight and I was so happy to see Otto chowing down on the bbq chicken, crock pot corn and rolls.

Story Time with Ava and Lola

I don't recall seeing this many kids at the library for story time.  Wow!  It was a full house today!

Luckily, the craft was super easy and super cute!  Each kid made a tie for Father's Day and signed the inside.

I took the kids for a really long golf cart ride this evening.  I'm trying to give Kiki as many breaks as I possibly can so she can work on getting blessings typed and in the mail.  We had so much fun looking for flowers and the kids tried to scare me by telling me they saw a raccoon in the woods.  Our ride consisted of going around the entire property line, crossing the dam at the pond and giving Sugar (the donkey) some love.

Road Trip, Pool and a Big Meeting

Aunt Vickie picked up Wendy this morning and came to my house on this hot Wednesday morning.  Neena also came over and we all piled into Neena's car for a road trip to Bullard.  This is Vickie's first time to see our house and she LOVED it.  Brent took a picture of us but Vickie ran away and said she did not want her picture taken which is weird because she's never done that before.  Anyway, this was Wendy's second time to see the house and it has changed a lot from the last time she saw it.  I get anxious every time I see it..wanting to move in so badly.

When I got back to Gilmer, I wanted to give Kiki a break so we all played in the pool except for Otto.

Then, I had to get ready to meet with Bishop Jones for my patriarchal blessing recommend.  Luckily, I heard Tori give a talk about patriarchal blessings last Sunday which helped prepare me for some of the questions Bishop Jones asked me tonight.  Thankfully, I passed and received the official document which I handed over to Wes and Kath because we all know that I'm not the best at keeping up with stuff.

After I returned, the kids were dying to go outside again so we had fun feeding Sugar (the donkey) and Katie (the pony).

AOL Are Here!

AOL is a quick way to reference Ava, Otto and Lola.  We are so excited that they are here and the girls LOVE to swim so that's what we did after dinner.

Otto is very hesitant about getting in the pool but Kiki coaxed him in by doing the motor boat which is, "Motor boat, motor boat, go so slow; motor boat, motor boat, go so fast; motor boat, motor boat, step on the gas!" as you bob up and down.  In fact, they all loved it!

Beck and Kinsey wanted to spend the night and they got comfy on the air mattress in Kiki and Pops bedroom as they watched tv.  A night without the kids...Wow!  What will I do?

Don't Want to Say Good-Bye

I wish they (Jody, Jennifer, Noah, Taylor, Jeff, Jill and Marcus) could stay longer but they all have to go back home.  (Sad face.)  However, we did have fun in the pool on this lovely Monday morning and Taylor is all glammed up with Kiki's sunglasses.

Aunt Jill was very popular with the kiddos!

Uncle Jeff and Marcus jumped in at the same time.  If I were a diving judge, I'd give Jeff a 10...great form!

Since I'm pretending to be a diving judge, I'd give Marcus a 10 for the best looking cannonball I've ever seen!

Marcus was so sad when he found out he had to go back home as well as Noah.  Beck was crushed when he saw his cousins leaving.  It was sad for me to see the trio being separated.  Luckily, the library was showing a movie (Wreck It Ralph) today and Beck got excited when I told him that's what we were going to do this afternoon.

Tonight will be Beck's first night home since Noah has been here and Kiki will have one night to rest because Ava, Lola and Otto will be here tomorrow night!

Taylor is Here!!!

Jody, Jennifer and Taylor arrived from their trip to Maine late last night.  Brent had to work on the house today so I went over there for a quick visit before church then we went back over there for dinner.  Jeff, Jill and Marcus came in for a visit too...let's get this party started!

Kiki and Pops are so excited that the pool has been used this week with Noah in town and next week it will get used again when Ava, Lola and Otto are here.
