After Brent got home and we ate dinner, we headed back up to the square for some more Yamboree Fun! Wendy was so excited to ride some more ride with her arm band and we strolled around the square. Beck rode the usual rides starting with the Fred Flinestone Train.
Then, he played a game to get the blow up machine gun and I love that he's wearing camo pants, jacket and now has a camo blow-up gun!
Kinsey had to get in on the action too!
He rode the boats, again.
The ride on the far-left picture is the tallest and most expensive ride at the Yamboree! It cost $10 to ride it unless you have the arm band! Wow! Beck's rides were $3 which seems like a lot for a little kids ride. The arm band is the way to go for sure especially if you want to ride a lot of rides.

Yamboree - Thursday Morning/Afternoon
10.20
This is our big day to Yam It Up! However, we have a few glitches in my plan to Yam It Up. Number One, the rides don't open until noon which means we can't spend all morning riding rides. Bummer! Number Two, Heather asked me to babysit her kids so she and Jarod could go to the doctor which was no big deal since it was during nap time but I didn't realize she wouldn't be back until after 5pm so we couldn't go back to the square after the kids woke up. Wendy was the only one really bummed about not being able to go back up to the square before we ate dinner.
It was super cold this morning and I wasn't sure what we would do or see so I left the kids in their super warm pj's. We first went into the Yamboree building and I showed Beck the yams decorated by kids. He wasn't interested in the drawings, paintings or photographs so we went to the livestock area. They were in the process of showing pigs and these pigs were the biggest he's ever seen.
The bunnies were being judged and Beck wanted to hold one really bad. Luckily, there was a sweet boy that let Beck hold his bunny.
We saw the goats...
I loved watching Beck kick the dirt around...he'll soon be a country boy!
We went home, ate lunch, got the kids dressed and headed to the square to ride some rides! We got the all-you-can-ride band for Wendy that cost $15 and this is the first ride she rode.
Beck rode a few rides then we had to leave to meet Heather at 1:30.
Kinsey was a trooper hanging out in the stroller.

Once Upon a Time
10.19
It's here!!! The first night of Yamboree is half price night. I picked up Wendy this morning so she could enjoy the Yamboree plus, I got a ticket for her to see the pageant tonight. We went up to the square just long enough to see a few rides and get a picture of my little family.
Brent took the rest of the pictures of Beck riding the boat and he played a game to get a trumpet. We told him he could take the trumpet to the next football game since he likes hearing the noise makers.
Wendy and I had to rush home, get dressed and meet Heather at the Civic Center for the 7:30 performance.
I love the seats I got and so did the press! At one point, the man from the press had his giant camera lens in between our heads. I haven't figured out how to use the flash attachment on my camera so I used Brent's work camera. The theme for this year's pageant is "Once Upon a Time". This is last year's queen and she is the daughter of my high school friends, Karen and Mike.
I've always thought the dresses for the Ladies In Waiting were pretty but they seemed to be more glamorous this year. This was my ultimate favorite dress!
I only liked two of the seven dances performed.
This was my second favorite dress and this girl is an officer on the Stars drill team. She's also the daughter of Brent's elementary school teacher which he had a crush on her.
More pretty dresses and I think every girl in this pageant sprayed their entire body with glitter.
I would love to use this backdrop for Kinsey's room some day...it is spectacular!
This is the daughter of another high school friend, D'Anne...she looks like an angel.
If you look closely at the bottom picture, you will see a little girl about the same age as Kinsey that stepped off the platform that all of the kids are standing on and laid on the floor! I could totally see Kinsey doing this same exact thing. Actually, she does that every day.
This is it folks...Queen Drew...she is stunningly beautiful!
What a treat! I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and I want to thank Brent for baby-sitting the kids. Wendy had never been to a pageant before and she REALLY enjoyed it. She sincerely thanked me for taking her when we left. I'm looking forward to next year's pageant! (Maybe I can some how be a part of it!)

No Electricity
10.18
The electricity went out around 10ish and it finally came back on at 2:30. I wonder what Nanny did when it went out on her for that long? Anyway, I could have made a pb&j sandwich but I thought it would be more fun to eat lunch at McDonald's since we haven't been there in a while. The best part of going to McDonald's before Halloween is that they put the kids meal in this bucket! And, it comes with stickers! Beck decorated both buckets before we went outside to play. This little boy LOVES stickers! Can you tell which one I helped decorate?
He wanted to take Kinsey's shoes off but she wanted to keep them on...
They had so much fun playing!
After we ate dinner, we took a road trip up to the square to watch the workers put the rides together. We were trying to get Beck pumped up for the annual Yamboree. There were a few other people doing the same thing we were. I am so excited that I can hardly wait! Since I graduated high school, I've only been able to attend the Saturday parade/festivities so I'm looking forward to yammin' it up this year with Beck and Kinsey.

Three Girls and a Boy
10.17
Kinzie and Lidia stayed with Kiki and Pops Monday night so we went over there after eating dinner. Oh my goodness, these kids have so much fun when they are together! They first busted out the tea set...
Then, they played with the stuffed tiger...
Then, they played dress up which was hysterical!
How many times will big brother Beck take his little sister down to the ground? It never gets old for him. I'm predicting she is going to be one tough little girl!
Daddy tried to teach Beck how to make a scary face but Beck is too cute to make scary faces.
I just discovered that Kinsey will wear a headband! She won't wear a bow but she'll wear this...
I got my hair cut and colored today and the hair stylist did a great job. However, now I wish I had stuck with the picture I showed her. Bummer! Oh well, it'll grow.
