Marcus' Soccer Game

09.28.13

We left the house early this Saturday morning and drove to Plano to watch Marcus play soccer.  He was so excited that his cousins were there to watch him play!

But, we all have to use the restroom before the game begins so off we go!

Marcus is really good at kicking the ball.

Marcus, run the other way.

Beck and Kinsey really enjoyed watching Marcus play.

Marcus soccer game6
Marcus took a break from the game to hang out with us.  (I think we are a bit of a distraction.)

He's back in the game.

Marcus soccer game8
Time for another break to get some lovin' from mommy.

Marcus soccer game9
Marcus got very frustrated because his team did not run in the direction that he wanted to run.

Now, it's time for the half time show by Kinsey Faith Bishop.  Lol!

Let me give you a hug and then I'm going to choke you.  That's my Kinsey Girl.

After the game ended, a parent found a dog running through the soccer fields so this man was trying to contact the owner and Kinsey wanted to pet him.  She really wants a dog.

Then, we went to the park to burn off some energy before grabbing lunch and they had so much fun!

Friday Family Fun Night

09.27.13

Brent was able to come home early on this Friday afternoon and Kinsey fell asleep on him right before going to eat dinner.
Last of September3

Last of September4
We ended up eating at a Mexican restaurant because Beck loves to eat big chips with runny cheese.  Lol!

Last of September5
Then, we went to a discount store and Kinsey found this really cute ice skating bear that she wants for Christmas.  Yes, we are already working on our Christmas wish list.

Last of September6
She also found this hat in the Halloween section.

And, this hat!

We had a fun Friday night!

Last Week of September

09.24-26.13

Ms. Candy has a young girl help with the Tuesday morning class so I'm assuming that she is home schooled.  Anyway, this young girl is very sweet and very helpful.  She's always tying shoe strings as seen here with Kinsey's tap shoes.

I take advantage of the kids' willingness to help!  Clean those windows!  Lol!

Last of September2
I love her style!  I'm sort of sad because Kinsey is already at the point of wanting to pick out her own clothes.  Beck wanted to pick out his own clothes when this school year started.

It's hard to believe October is right around the corner!

Joey and Joanie's Reception

I love weddings so much that I wish I could attend one every single weekend!  I've often thought about being a wedding planner but that would mean never having a Saturday night off which kind of scares me.  Maybe I'll look into it now that my Saturday nights aren't that busy anyway.  Joanie has excellent taste because I've been to many weddings in my lifetime and this one is at the top of my list.  The location is phenomenal!  The scenery is perfect!  Everything flowed as it should.  And, the food was very impressive!  I noticed that when one item would get low such as stuffed mushrooms then the staff would replace it with something just as wonderful such as shrimp cocktail.  The croissant sandwiches look like they came from my former place of employment...la Madeleine.  They also had a giant chocolate fountain.  Perfecto!

Joanie described the reception to me when we met at the catfish place in Ore City a while back.  She said that the older people would sit inside and eat while the younger people would be dancing outside which is exactly what happened.  Joey and Joanie's first dance was really sweet and I especially enjoyed watching my Aunt Trish dance with her son, Joey.

What made this night even more special is that only one brother could not be here as he is working in Nebraska right now.

Cousins at Joey's Wedding
I asked Christie's husband to take a picture of all of the cousins. (Noah, Adin (Christie's sons), Christie, Katrina, Joey, Stacey, Katie, Wendy, Salena and me)

Then, I did what most girls do these days and took a few selfies with Stacey and Christie.

I also captured Wendy with her true loves which are babies (Ava) and the cousin that she helped raise since she was a baby and that's Katie.

Christie and I left at the same time and I love this picture of her hugging her younger brother...so sweet!

For the most part, weddings pretty much flow the same as they did twenty years ago.  The only thing that has changed over the years is what is used when the bride and groom depart.  For many years, it was seeds then the popular thing to do was pass out little bottles of bubbles and tonight, we all lit up a sparkler.  It looks like my sparkler got Joey in the booty.  Lol!!!

Joey's Wedding25
On the way home, I thought about this special night.  The reason why I love weddings so much is because it is the most magical night for the bride and groom, everybody is so happy and there is so much love in the air.  I know my Aunt Trish was beyond happy that almost our entire family was there for this special night.  I was super excited that I was able to dance the night away!  I can't remember the last time I did that.  In fact, I will have to wear flats to church the next morning because my feet are killing me!  My Aunt Trish told me that she had forgotten how good of a dancer I am and the only reason why I'm bringing this up is because of memories.  I pretty much grew up with my Aunt Trish and cousin Christie.  When my Uncle Chris came into their lives, I witness the dating and the wedding.  Anyway, Christie and I would make up a dance routine in her bedroom then we would perform our routine for them and they would just laugh at us.  Those were the good ole days!  I recently heard Kelly Clarkson say, "Weddings are for the guest...not the bride and groom."  That statement is so true!  Weddings are so stressful for the bride and groom and there's not much down time because there are so many things that have to be done such as pictures with the family, first dance, pictures with the cake, pictures throwing the bouquet, etc.  I want to thank Joey and Joanie from the bottom of my heart for a super fun night!  I love both of you and wish you all the best in your future endeavors as husband and wife!

Joey and Joanie's Wedding

09.21.13

I left Brent and the kids in Gilmer so I could go home and get ready for my cousin's wedding.  I had more than enough time to get ready but I took way too much time and ended up having to rush to the wedding.  Grrr!  I cannot believe I did that and the iphone software update did not help at all! Because of the software update, I was unable to use my map app which would have been so helpful but I had to rely on the directions given to me over the phone.  It seemed pretty simple.  However, the sign to this place was little bitty and several people passed it including me.  I finally found it after turning around but I was oh-so-late!  Mom told me that I would walk down with the bride and I could have but Joanie's Daddy already had his daughter's arm.  I was able to capture some beautiful pictures because I was so late.  (There were about 10 others standing with me and they also had to do the walk of shame after Joanie walked down to her soon-to-be hubby.)

I am so, so excited that I was able to capture this expression on Joey's face!!!  We had all been standing at the beginning of the ceremony and then some people started slowly sitting down and that's when my Uncle Chris, who was conducting the ceremony, announced that we could all be seated.  That's when I snapped this moment!

Joey's Wedding6
I know that it is totally wrong to take a picture during a prayer but I couldn't resist...talk about a picture that says it all.
