Happy Birthday Marcus!

This is the Texas birthday party for Marcus and he's a lucky boy because he gets another birthday in Florida next week. I love the theme of his birthday...monkey! (When I was young, I always wanted a monkey as a pet.)
I am shocked that Beck actually wore the monkey mask! I've always heard that kids want to do what other kids do which is so true with Beck. If Ava eats green beans then Beck will too.

Poor Kinsey woke up feeling terrible...she did not want to play! She just wanted to sleep or be held. I felt so sorry for her. After the party, I gave her some teething tablets and that seemed to help releive some of her pain.

Oh my goodness, the bounce house we brought over was a huge hit! Beck missed his afternoon nap since the party started at 1pm so he was totally exhausted by the time we left. He crashed as soon as Brent hit the road.

Marcus LOVES cupcakes!

The party was a lot of fun!

Time to open the gifts...and, the best gift of all was the school bus!

I finally got in a picture...It was great to see everybody again!

Happy Birthday Uncle Kerry

Friday Family Fun Night continues...on January, 21st, we all met at Randy White's in Mesquite for a surprise birthday gathering for Uncle Kerry's birthday. Happy Birthday Uncle Kerry!

Beck sure enjoyed playing with the balloons...he liked to pop them too!

Kinsey enjoyed snuggling with Kiki...

Pops giving Kinsey some lovin...

Marcus is ready for his birthday party tomorrow...

Kinsey 7-months old

This is our first month that we don't have to see the doctor. Yippee!!! We love our pediatrician for many reasons...#1 He is older which means he has lots of experience and we are assuming that he's seen it all, #2 He doesn't believe in giving 4-5 shots at one time and #3 His wife is the nurse and she is just as sweet as her husband.

Kinsey has made huge strides over the past month...she is doing the army crawl, sleeps thru the night without getting a bottle and she's learning how to eat. However, I have to force her to eat which is frustrating. She can lock her lips so tight when I get the spoon close to her mouth. I've resorted to blowing in her face which takes her breath away to get her to open her mouth. She will eat the cereal once I get it in her mouth. I recently tried mashed bananas again and she did not like that at all.

One thing I'm super excited about...she does not like the pacifier and I've only seen her suck her thumb/finger a few times. I think she mainly does that to relieve some of her teething pain. Kinsey is wearing the dress Neena gave to her for Christmas.

Party for Marcus

I like to have celebrations for the kids and since Marcus will be out of town the day he turns 1-year old, we had a little party for him before his Texas birthday party. On Wednesday, Abraham and Beck made party hats and I made one for Marcus. That evening, I baked cupcakes for the kids and Beck helped me decorate them with "sprinkles" on Thursday. Before lunch time, I got a call from Abraham's mom saying she was keeping him home that day. So, our party of four became a party of three and only two kids can eat the cupcakes. I sent Jeff home with lots of cupcakes that night!
Marcus did not hesitate eating his cupcake...in fact, he ate the whole thing plus the crumbs on the high chair tray! I was cracking up! He grabbed his hat with his hands that were covered in icing so I took it off. Icing was everywhere...in his hair, up his nose and all over his clothes. I had a big mess to clean up but it was totally worth it!

First Time in the Walker

Since Kinsey is now on the move, we wanted to see how she would do in the walker. She liked it for a little bit and Beck enjoyed pushing her around. She was able to push herself backwards so it won't be long before she's running around the house in that thing!

Getting Ready to Crawl

Believe it or not, little Miss Kinsey is doing the army crawl at 7-months old! If she sees something she wants, she can get to it! It is so funny watching her move...

Chef Beck

Beck loves to help cook! Brent gave him a little saute pan so he could help cook the fajita chicken for dinner. He calls salt/pepper or any spices, "sprinkles".

After Church

I had to take pictures of Kinsey after church because she looked so cute! Tracy gave me this dress before Kinsey was born and I just took the tags off before we went to church.
Beck insisted that I take pictures of him too which shocked me since he hates it when I get the camera in his face...this is his big smile. He changed out of his church clothes as soon as we walked in the house.

Beck sure does love his little sister...
