First Pony Ride!!!

McDonald's opened up a new location in Frisco at Custer/121 and offered a petting zoo/pony rides for the grand opening so that's how we spent our Friday Family night. Beck immediately wanted off the pony as soon as we put him on it but he quickly enjoyed it after the guy straped him down and took off for the very short walk. Brent and I were so disappointed that the guy only took him for one short circle and that was the end of the ride. I'm even more bummed that we didn't get a better picture of him on the pony.
After the pony ride, we walked over to check out the animals and Beck was more interested in the rocks! Notice the swim shoes that Beck is wearing...He went through a phase of only wearing one pair of shoes and NEVER wanted to wear these shoes until today!

Poor little Kinsey slept thru it all!

The place was packed so we picked up food at the McDonald's by our house and ate at home. We wanted the kid's meal because they were offering Batman characters and we ended up getting stretch man which Beck loves.

2 Months Old

On August 18th, we took our traditional picture of Kinsey in the crib wearing an outfit that Aunt Wendy bought. Kinsey is really starting to recognize us and giving us big smiles! She does get irriated when big brother smothers her with love. Beck loves to rub his face on her face and she pushes him away or starts crying. He is very sweet to her but he stays in her personal space longer than she'd like.
At her 2-month check-up she weighed in at 13 lbs 2.5 oz (95%), length is 24 3/4" (+95%) and her head is 15 3/4" (75%). She got two shots (DTAP and HIB) and Dr. Minskey said she is a good looking baby.

Happy 60th Birthday Nana!!!

We celebrated Nana's 60th birthday by giving her flowers, eating lunch at Jalapeno Tree and I baked a delicious carrot cake. I think she had a wonderful birthday...

Check Out My Sweet Ride

I told Brent that I thought we should get Beck a motorized car for Christmas so Brent immediately got on Craigs List and found a Jeep for cheap! Looks like I need to think of something else to get him for Christmas. So, after we ate dinner, we took a road trip to McKinney and bought it. Beck absolutely loves it! We take him to the green belt and he has lots of space to ride. I later found out that Brent wanted a motorized car when he was younger but apparently his parents would not let him have one. Then I found out that they did not want him to have one because they were afraid one of them would run into a barbed wire fence which I can see happening. We will take the Jeep to East Texas the next time we are in and we'll definitely keep Beck away from the fence.

Big Girl

These are a few pictures I've taken of Kinsey this past week...

Monster

I'm not sure where Beck learned this but this is his interpretation of a monster...

Kiss

Beck loves to give his little sister kisses...

Teaching Beck Bad Things

We let Beck stand on the coffee table and taught him to jump on the couch and on Brent's lap. He did this over and over until I busted out the video camera and then he got shy/scared. He thought is was so much fun and still enjoys doing it. I just hope he doesn't try this at Kiki's house as she has a glass top coffee table!

Rocketship Video

I should have posted this video with the Rocket ship blog...

Video

These are old which means I'm not keeping up with posting video clips like I said I would do...the first one is Brent and Beck playing with Kinsey's belly and the second one is Brent giving Kinsey her first work out at three weeks old. Enjoy!

Kiki's Pictures

We met Wes and Kath in Canton Tuesday night (August 10th) and ate dinner at Baker's Ribs. They are known for their delicious fried pies and that's the best part of that place. It was SO hot in that place and the food was mediocre at best. Beck went back to Gilmer to spend some time with Pops and Kiki which gave Brent and I some time to bond with little Miss Kinsey. These are pictures that I got from Kiki's camera...

These were taken the last time we were in
Gilmer...

Moving on Up

Kinsey is now wearing 3-6 month clothes now and she's only 6 weeks old! I can't wait to get her height and weight on August 27th which is her 2 month check-up.
This is the dress she wore to her first trip to church...

Gatti Town

Friday nights have always been family night but it's been kind of hard to get out of the house with a demanding baby but we decided to get out on August 7th and headed to Gatti Town. We got there so early that we played games first then ate dinner. It's fun to see Beck go through phases and on this particular visit he loved going from game to game acting like he was playing but he really wasn't. And, he hated the carousel this time...loved it so much the last time we were there that we had to pry him away from it. When we sat down to eat some yummy pizza, all Beck wanted was a (peanut) butter sandwich. Luckily, we didn't pay for him to eat. As always, he jumped on the train that sits outside of Gatti Town. I'd like to see that thing in operation one day.
A
fter dinner, we stopped at the Rocky Mountain store and got two delicious chocolate covered apples...Brent got Butterfinger and I got Tiger Butter. Yummy!!!

Going to the Park

Since the mall was so packed, I got the bright idea to walk to the park that's near our house. I put Kinsey in the stroller and Beck and I walked...big mistake! He carried his shovel and bucket and wanted to stop every so often to put stuff in his bucket so it took us almost 20 minutes to get there!!! He played for a little while but then Kinsey got fussy so we had to get home quickly. I put Beck (about 40 lbs) on my shoulders and quickly walked home as Kinsey was screaming and Beck was killing me! Needless to say, we were all soaking wet from sweat! I was so sore the next day from carrying him and decided that I would never do that again! From now on, we will drive to the park.
This is Kinsey chilling in the stroller and with the penguin...
