Hello Friends and Family!

I once said that I would never do this blogging thing but this past weekend I found out from Katherine that I can print my postings into a book. After hearing this, I immediately jumped on blogging because I would love for Beck to read about what our family did when he was younger. So, I hope you enjoy reading about our sweet, precious son.
I do want to step back in time for a bit...On July 31, we headed to our hometown to visit with the family. It was special because the ENTIRE family was in and we were able to capture a family picture right before church. (Beck, I apologize for not having shoes that matched your super cute outfit. Your feet grew super fast!) We enjoyed spending time with everybody and I want to send a special shout out to Katherine for capturing some great photos! Jody, Jennifer and Noah were in town on their way down to McAllen and we celebrated Noah's birthday (3-years old) on Saturday evening. I have to admit that I am a cake snob. Noah's birthday cake was the best cake I've had in a LONG time!!! Patti Dodd is so talented and I hope she would be willing to make a cake for us someday. Thanks to all for good times and good memories...

August 23, 2009

I had the pleasure of getting together with a few girlfriends Saturday night which was so much fun. However, little Beck decided to go to bed at 7pm and woke up the next morning at 6:30am. Yikes that is early for a Sunday morning! Brent was still sleepy so Beck and I went for a walk around the block. When we returned, Brent was awake so we took off to Taco Bueno. I'm known for using coupons and had one for a Breakfast Platter which consisted of nothing Beck likes to eat...scrambled eggs, bacon, refried beans and tortillas. But, he had a blast throwing things off of our table and drinking orange juice out of his new cup with a straw. Luckily, we were the only patrons. I guess most people don't eat breakfast at 7:30 on a Sunday morning.

After breakfast, we took off to the playground and watched Beck as he ran around. He enjoyed swinging and we were amazed that he went down the little slide all by himself. I took him down the big slide and he loved it.

After work on Friday, we met the Bishop family at Olive Garden for some fine dining. Beck ate mac n cheese and breadsticks while in Kiki's lap. Afterwards, we stood outside visiting while the kids played with the flowers. Beck held his flower until we left!
